So liberal Democrats think know better than Wal-Mart executives how to run the company?

As do some anti-Wal-Mart posters on Free Republic.

Yup. You should get stiffed on everything you buy so some lazy union jackass can buy a summer home. That's conservative.

Maybe Wal Mart should just announce the closure of all their stores in that state, putting 15,000 out of work, and see how that goes over.

Here is a thread I started yesterday on the Baltimore Sun story about this:

Added MD to the TOPICS list for our FRiends who monitor Maryland news in the sidebar.

(Instead of just scrolling past them all, please take a moment to click the applicable state on the Topics screen when posting news of local interest.)

I agree with Rush. WalMart pulled some stores out of the province of Quebec in Canada for anti-union sentiments. They should pull out of the state completely and leave 15,000 unemployed to spite the RATS and their union loving crap. The unions have lost a lot of their power because corporations look after their employees and don't need unions. They should go the way of the dodo bird. Bye, bye unions. Bye, bye RATS

"let’s call them what they are in this case, extortionists"

The correct term is looters.

Sooo...the state government mandated that 8% of wages must go to health-care benefits regardless of the employees desires? I'm sure Wal-Mart can comply. Hopefully the state won't pass a law prohibitting Wal-Mart from telling the employees where that 8% went.
