"It was not my intention to engage in apologetics with non Catholics"
My response: Do you ever do that ??? Are you interested in winning people over to the catholic side of the fence ?? Does it cause you to become nervous and frightened ??

"but I will ask you one more time, is it not reasonable to expect faithful Catholics to follow Catholic doctrine and pray for the repose of the soul of the head of the Catholic Church on earth?"
My response: Yes, it is reasonable, if all there is to being a catholic, is being an automaton and mechanically obeying doctrine and reciting prayers composed by others at the command of a spiritual drill sergeant.
Were is the faith in that. How can it be faith???
My question: Do you ever hear the voice of God (not the voice of men here) and if you have, do you, would you, follow that direction on your own or would you submit the message to your pastor first ??? I suppose it would depend on what the voice said and how serious a direction it would be asking you to take.

It is you who are losing your temper and being insulting. The assumption that you make that Catholics are "mechanically obeying" is false, we obey because it is true.

My response: Do you ever do that ??? Are you interested in winning people over to the catholic side of the fence ??

Yes, but that was not my concern in this instance. On this thread, I was directing my comment to Catholics, my concern was for the soul of the deceased Vicar of Christ on earth, the Holy Father.

Do you ever hear the voice of God (not the voice of men here) and if you have, do you, would you, follow that direction

Yes, I have and I do as it authoritatively spoken through His Church on earth.

on your own or would you submit the message to your pastor first ?

I submit my will in obedience to the authority Our Lord established on earth, His Church, built on the rock that is Peter, "the pillar and ground of the truth", to whom He gave "the keys of the kingdom", and the power to bind and loose. But if an individual even a priest/ pastor, "or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema", and I would reject it.

Pal,

You are one seriously lost soul. Whatever serpent has twisted around your brain and perverted your mind into thinking you actually know anything about Catholicism is obviously squeezing all the oxygen out.

You are spouting the same boring pathetic venom that the hypnotized always spew. The hypocrisy is utterly amazing. How you parrot other men's arguements.

Here's some advice: Learn something about the Catholic Church outside of your dark Master's Grimoire and come back when you can deal with something real instead of pathetically shadow boxing your own cult's myths.
