I haven't been posting about Terri lately as I have been very busy at work and on top of that, have been sick with strep throat all week. Despite all that, I haven't been able to get Terri out of my mind. Just like Sept. 11 changed the way I looked at the world, so did Terri's ordeal. I just don't feel the same way about things as I used to. It's not depression or anything of that sort. I just don't feel the same. Is anyone else experiencing this or something similar?

I am. BIg time. And wrote a snail mail letter to our President explaining just that. I want to her from our President in his 'direct speech' style, judges be damned, I need to hear from our President about how this came to be, because it has torn my faith in our system of laws apart, completely.

When I see a pic of judge greer, I become almost physically sick.

That he has received awards from his scientology defending brothers in pinellas county for his actions regarding Terri, makes me even sicker.

The evil that permeates that part of our country is like a dark shadow that has infiltrated and corrupted an entire state.

Just look at that cults donations to various politicians in that area. It is frightening and sick.

This is a cult that does NOT BELIEVE in God.

This is a cult that DOES not believe in ANY psychological counseling. This is a CULT that gets deep background information on its newbies through 'audit' sessions that can later be used to blackmail its members into staying and giving massive funds to this group. This is a cult that believes in disposing of the mentally ill that meet certain criteria for sickness, stating that they WANT TO DIE INSIDE. This is a cult that SUES people who want to leave it. This is cult that is banned in several European nations because they are well aware of its sinister and sickening decrees...one of which...came about after it killed Lisa McCPherson in the same method used to kill TErri.

This cult is vile. A money grubbing scam from the gitgo that ACTUALLY insists that members now sign a form stating the scientology has NO RESPONSIBILITY if their practices result in the DEATH of a member. ( ie like Lisa McPherson, who they sought to cure of her mental disorder by denying food and water and keeping her isolated in one of their 'safe houses'.

This is a cult that will not even PUT ITS NAME on its WORLD HTQ in Clearwater...because it is ashamed of itself and knows it is best to work from within...not unlike the communists of this world.

And this cult is a MAJOR, and I mean MAJOR influence in the Clearwater area...a force that SUPPORTS killing the disabled, especially mentally disabled, who they believe will reincarnate into a better body. Sick stuff. Very sick. And dangerous to any society that has compassion as its rule of thumb.

I feel like you. Nothing is the same. I think of Terri so often, and I can hardly look at a picture of her without crying. I think I am still in shock...shock that a beautiful disabled woman could be starved and dehydrated to death with the whole world watching.

I think it's called "Wake up Call Syndrome" or

"Things really are as bad as we've been suspicioning syndrome"

The only medicine in action

I hope you're feeling better after the strep throat. As for feeling like you see everything after Terri in a whole new light, you betcha. You have LOTS of company. It isn't depression. It is an awakening. Like scales fell off your eyes and now you can see things so clearly for the first time, and it wasn't what you pictured when the scales were there. That's what it's been like for me.

Like Luv2lurkhere says in his/her tagline, "Terri changed everything." So true, so simple, so profound.
