Theresa Marie Schindler... May Daily Thread 2005 CALL TO ACTION: Our Fight for Justice Continues
Various Sources ^ | April 3, 2005 | floriduh voter

Freeper friends, Terri's Memorial Service is this coming Tuesday night in Gulfport, Florida. Please check and see if www.baynews9.com will carry it on the internet.

I'm still sad and in disbelief that the rescue fell apart. It was on it's way. We were waiting there for ambulances but instead two Sheriff's cruisers arrived.

There's much work to do. There are many work groups here carrying on for Terri.

The April Daily Thread as before will be a meeting place, a news digest and even in the midst of sorrow, a place to make friends.

I want to thank everyone who did everything humanly possible for Terri and her family. Terri's safe now from a room with the blinds closed, strange people and armed guards. She'd still be here if it wasn't for judicial despots who it appears have never read the Declaration of Independence or the U.S. or Florida Constitution.

Freepers, Republicans and Democrats alike voted against Terri or didn't do enough to save her from Judge Greer.

I'd like to thank Ralph Nader, David Boies, Joe Lieberman and Wesley Smith, Phd, author of Forced Exit.

I have disdain for the Naughty Nine Republicans in the Florida Senate who vote "No" which barred Terri from legislative relief. The GOP House Members who voted "No" on Terri, shame on them too.

WHAT EXACTLY IS THE AGENDA AND WHO IS IN CHARGE? I'm afraid that Judge George Greer is in charge - of everything.

PLEASE HELP FLORIDA... CALL YOUR SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN/WOMEN.

HELP US. We feel stranded by tyranny today, but Florida is ripe for change. We will demand it together as Americans.

Thanks, FV

It is a mathematical calculation for implementing a
global socialist government.

My mother told me about this when I was younger.
Bringing the worlds population to a controllable level
to implement their idealistic (and not possible) global government.
She learned about it from a catholic priest.
The catholics were at war with the communists then.

"If you understood what communism was, you would
hope, you would pray on your knees that we would some day
become communist." Jane Fonda, ex-wife of Ted Turner

Today Jane calls herself a born again Christian but
She is a major supporter of abortion rights organizations
and was the sole funder of the 527 committee, Pro-Choice Vote.
Jane Fonda recently donated $12,918,450 (yes 12 MILLION)
http://www.publicintegrity.org/527/search.aspx?act=con&sec=indprof&orgid=1150
and another $6,294,000 million to Planned Parenthood
and their abortion mills.

Now that's what I call a WOLF trying to dress up as a sheep.

GOD bless our Nation. May god will that all these folks fail at their
attempted destruction of our way of life.

Thank you, Dave. Great post.

I've never forgotten that quote from Fonda, since I first heard it.

Wolf in sheep's clothing is exactly right.

I hope our leaders are up to the task of preserving this country. I'm very worried.

A good quote from TS Eliot,

"If you will not have God (and He is a jealous God), you should pay your respects to Hitler and Stalin."

GOD bless this republic.

Minus the mourned, family and friends remember Terri Schiavo

ABC Action News report 04/06/05

GULFPORT - Friends and family members gathered to say their final goodbyes to Terri Schiavo last night.

The struggle over the brain-damaged woman's life and death captivated the nation after her feeding tube was removed last month, and emotions in the controversial case clearly remain high.

There were few dry eyes in the house Tuesday night at the Most Holy Name of Jesus church in Gulfport, where at least 1,000 people packed themselves in, and in some cases stood outside, to remember Terri.

"I wasn't going to speak tonight, but I thought it was important to share something with you," Terri's brother Bobby Schindler told the gathered mourners.

Fighting back tears, Bobby told surprised guests that the family had received a Purple Heart in the mail from a Vietnam veteran. Holding the medal up for all to see, Bobby explained that the soldier told them in a letter that accompanied the award that Terri was like a hero.

Even Terri's death can still impact lives, the family's spiritual advisor said.

"Terri, who had such difficulty speaking, will speak louder than ever to this world," insisted Father Frank Pavone.

Even nationally known radio talk show host Glenn Beck was moved to tears when talking about what he felt Terri's purpose in life was.

"To help us realize how much we love our parents, and how much they love us," Beck said.

That is exactly what Terri's younger sister, the baby of the family, shared with the mourners, along with a promise to her broken-hearted parents.

"I'm so sorry that your Terri isn't with us anymore. But I want you to know that you have two children left that love you with all that they have, and will be dedicated to you as long as you live," Suzanne Vitadamo said. "We promise to stay close to you and to fill as much of your heart with love as we can, knowing that part of your heart went to heaven with Terri."

Terri is originally from Pennsylvania, and close friends there have scheduled an April 15 memorial service that her parents plan to attend.

That service will be separate from any service held by Terri's husband Michael, who ordered Terri's body cremated against her parents' wishes. He has possession of the ashes and is said to be planning to inter them in his family's Pennsylvania plot.

"next of kin lodged a complaint with Hospice La Grange's in house attorney Carol Todd,.... last Thursday Ms. Todd checked Mae Mgourick's case file and upon examination of both documents discovered that Beth Gaddy DID NOT have the durable medical power of attorney for Mae Magouirk and upon closer examination of Mae Magouirk's Living Will ascertained that fluids and nourishment were ONLY TO BE WITHELD if she was either comatose or vegetative. She is in neither state.
"She is not terminal."

OMG! Why is she in a hospice? Why is she being dehydrated and starved against her living Will, on the orders of someone who is NOT her guardian? What the heck is going on?

As a side note, it says she has an Aortic Dissection. That can be treatable if it's diagnosed correctly.

As I recall, the actor John Ritter (8 Simple Rules and Three's Company) had ,what was later determined to be an Aortic Dissection, but unfortunately, he was misdiagnosed with a heart attack and didn't receive the proper treatment, so he died from it. I believe his family sued for the misdiagnosis.

Prayers for this family. It's just awful what's going on today. I'm certain this is what Terri (God rest her sweet soul) and the Schindler's (God Bless them) are called to bring national and worldwide attention to. Namely the horror's of the euthanasia movement. I'm just so sorry their calling came at such an awful price.

People need to know the truth about this. (I keep getting images of Felos and his sickeningly soft (like a serpent) claims of how "beautiful" Terri looked while dying of dehydration, and all the stupid idiots parroting how "peaceful" it is to die of starvation dehydration-Arrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!).

People buy into these lies. They buy into the "disposable lives" philosophy, because they aren't challenged to really think about what it (euthanasia, abortion) means. I applaud the Schindler's for being able to stay together through all this so that they could tell people the truth.

It's also refreshing to see priests like Father Pavone and the family's spokesperson come out and take a strong stand. I'm so tired of the effeminate, mealy-mouthed, lukewarm clergy who put so much emphasis on the Jesus-loves- everyone-no-matter-what Gospel, that they render themselves unable to make any moral judgments.

Another tragedy here is the number of elderly or disabled who will be too afraid to go to the hospital now, even for things that are easily cured.

"Have any of you been suffering from depression this last week"

I have been feeling down too, or, well, I'm not sure what I'm feeling. Part of me, I want to go someplace far away from my fellow man and not bother with anyone ever again.

I'm disgusted with politicians , lawyers, and judges. I'm wondering if we deserve to be such a blessed country anymore, if people have become so cold.

As I read in another Freepers post- "Something in me has changed. I'm not sure if it's for the better." I feel that Terri Schiavo's tragedy has changed our country. I'm heartbroken to say it, but, this is not the same America, that I had known all my life.

The level of evil that we all witnessed was on a grand scale. I've never seen such darkness in people's souls. Some of the people who wanted Terri dead, really did start to resemble shrieking demons, as they ranted on about "painless dehydration/starvation death" and the like. It was frightening to see. I'm not very comforted by the Pope being gone either. It's like a great light has gone out in the world.

I hope all of us will feel better soon.

I've never been as depressed in my life. I've cried more in the past few weeks than I've cried in a long time. I'm just disgusted period and I hate feeling this way.

I know how you feel. Not only am I sad and horrified at what was done to Terri, but I am outraged that Jeb Bush (who by the way is a Roman Catholic) allowed it to happen.

Where did it all start? Was it with Clinton and the "Madeline & Monica" War or whatever where he killed over three thousand Serbs, most of them women and children who had never done us any harm, and hardly anyone mentioned it? Our men and woman are dying in Iraq in large numbers. Yet when Paul Wolfowitz was called before some Congressional committee, he was unable to tell them how many had been killed - obviously a trivial point to him.

question......have any of you been suffering with depression this last week?

As if Terri's fate wasn't enough to make me lose faith in the human race, on Monday, a good friend and co-worker lost her husband in an auto accident. She has a 3 month old baby and 2 other small kids at home. Nobody knew why he was where he was when he lost control but last night at the funeral home, his friends said that he had been in an argument over a pool game and investigation by the authorities has revealed 2 sets of tire tracks. Whoever ran him off the road caused him to go airborne and be ejected. When the car landed, it landed on top of him :o(
