Freeper friends, Terri's Memorial Service is this coming Tuesday night in Gulfport, Florida. Please check and see if www.baynews9.com will carry it on the internet.
I'm still sad and in disbelief that the rescue fell apart. It was on it's way. We were waiting there for ambulances but instead two Sheriff's cruisers arrived.
There's much work to do. There are many work groups here carrying on for Terri.
The April Daily Thread as before will be a meeting place, a news digest and even in the midst of sorrow, a place to make friends.
I want to thank everyone who did everything humanly possible for Terri and her family. Terri's safe now from a room with the blinds closed, strange people and armed guards. She'd still be here if it wasn't for judicial despots who it appears have never read the Declaration of Independence or the U.S. or Florida Constitution.
Freepers, Republicans and Democrats alike voted against Terri or didn't do enough to save her from Judge Greer.
I'd like to thank Ralph Nader, David Boies, Joe Lieberman and Wesley Smith, Phd, author of Forced Exit.
I have disdain for the Naughty Nine Republicans in the Florida Senate who vote "No" which barred Terri from legislative relief. The GOP House Members who voted "No" on Terri, shame on them too.
WHAT EXACTLY IS THE AGENDA AND WHO IS IN CHARGE? I'm afraid that Judge George Greer is in charge - of everything.
PLEASE HELP FLORIDA... CALL YOUR SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN/WOMEN.
HELP US. We feel stranded by tyranny today, but Florida is ripe for change. We will demand it together as Americans.
Thanks, FV
His past behavior is enough for me to have seen. It's obvious now that he never really wanted to intervene and never intended to make a serious effort.
Ready for this? I heard a report on the news this morning that lethal injections for criminals being put to death are being reconsidered as cruel and unusual punishment because the criminal feels a burning sensation before they die.
Let's pray that he asks for forgiveness, so he can quit washing his hands.
I'd like him to have his hands free enough to fight the euthansia enthusiasts.
He's the only governor Florida has at this point and Florida needs all the help it can get.
C-span's on... A variety of subjects, one of them being unfairly attacking the judiciary because some people don't agree with their decisions. Remarks by Barbara Jackson Lee, Texas.
I would agree he needs to ask for forgiveness, and we certainly need him to fight euthanasia. Its also true he is the only governor of a state that desperately needs help.
The Lord is the one who will judge him and that is fine with me.
However, I could not nor will not spend my time or money to support a man who willingly would not give a dying woman a drink of water! I will never forget.
I wish I could agree. Even if he asks for forgiveness, what is done is done, and he will still try to wash the legacy off his hands. If we can fight the death merchants, we need to look elsewhere. He is not the only governor Florida has at this point, has given his power away to Greer and eyes wide open at that.
Yes, Hospice Woodside survived, but I can't help wondering how many people have removed hospice as an option for when they are dying. We certainly have along with organ donation.
In the end I am praying that the publicity they desperately sought will hurt them financially. Of course I understand the government is willing to overlook any and all laws they break.
We need to pray for the other patients there!
I agree and theempirejournals article certainly gave a different spin to his remarks than Newsmax did.
I also noticed on Newsmax something I'd not seen elsewhere, that is that Delay thanked Rick Santorum and said his words had been spun by MSM. If he believes Santorum on this I will as well.
JMO, but I think Jeb doesn't know what hit him.
Is he being bothered or hounded by something? Yeah. America was not supposed to work this way. In his mind, The American System is too good to kill a helpless woman by Judicial fiat, but that is exactly what happened.
Jeb is frustrated and defensive because he believes her killing was wrong, yet he has had it drummed into him all his life that you obey Judicial orders whether you like them or not. It's just that he never conceived of Judicial orders that would murder an incapacitated woman, yet that is exactly what he got.
Now things in America don't make much sense to Jeb, yet life must go on. He wakes up as the Governor every day, and a husband, father, son, brother, etc., so on he goes doing his little routines.
Meanwhile, he has to shove to the back of his mind that Felos and Greer have more power to do evil than he has to do good. I know people told him he had Executive power to save Terri. He does not believe it, nor did his staff of legal advisors believe it.
Jeb is lost. America does not make sense to him, anymore.
In that one way, he has something in common with us who abhor Terri's Judicial killing. America no longer makes sense to US...
He's done some good things.
Rather than using my energy to condemn Jeb as a person, I'd rather join the folks attempting to nudge him off the fence.
The battle for Terri is over, and we mourn her death, but the war against euthanasia is not over... unless we are too embittered to join together in fighting
Looking at it up close, I do not understand how people can view that Sarcophagus called Woodside Hospice and see anything other than a nice looking death house.
Some did signs showing an Arbeit macht frie arch over the entrance drive and it sure fit.
If they dragged me screaming and kicking down that driveway, I would have no illusions. It would be so I could enjoy a happy death and quicker than planned.
Please God, let it be so!
We should not forget.
Call me naive, but I am not willing to say Jeb is beyond redemption.
He is not yet making his appearance at his final judgment.
Yes, and what happens now that they find they can get away with not giving happy deaths. Bet they even billed the government for food while they were starving her to death.
Vultures is what they are. I was having my taxes done and a little old lady on Medicare wanted to know if she could deduct a $50 gift to hospice. How sad is that?
Perhaps Jeb is aware of his situation, in the wee small hours of the morning.
You are not naive to speak the truth, he is not beyond redemption, nor are any of us as long as we are alive.
I'm just saying I cannot support him until he confesses
he was wrong. He's not helping matters by speaking kind
words about Senator King. What I'm trying to say is he
has a much higher power to answer to than us, we just care
enough to TRY to point him in the right way. (and may I
say that many of us have tried for years)
Vultures, you say. Here is something to think about.
At the hour of Terri's death, just minutes before she was to die, I was sitting outside at the entrance driveway.
A single vulture came in from the north, circled once over the big sarphogus of Woodside, and left. Gave me chills but I had no idea what was happening inside.
I understand.
sarphogus = sarcophagus
