Theresa Marie Schindler... May Daily Thread 2005 CALL TO ACTION: Our Fight for Justice Continues
Various Sources ^ | April 3, 2005 | floriduh voter

Freeper friends, Terri's Memorial Service is this coming Tuesday night in Gulfport, Florida. Please check and see if www.baynews9.com will carry it on the internet.

I'm still sad and in disbelief that the rescue fell apart. It was on it's way. We were waiting there for ambulances but instead two Sheriff's cruisers arrived.

There's much work to do. There are many work groups here carrying on for Terri.

The April Daily Thread as before will be a meeting place, a news digest and even in the midst of sorrow, a place to make friends.

I want to thank everyone who did everything humanly possible for Terri and her family. Terri's safe now from a room with the blinds closed, strange people and armed guards. She'd still be here if it wasn't for judicial despots who it appears have never read the Declaration of Independence or the U.S. or Florida Constitution.

Freepers, Republicans and Democrats alike voted against Terri or didn't do enough to save her from Judge Greer.

I'd like to thank Ralph Nader, David Boies, Joe Lieberman and Wesley Smith, Phd, author of Forced Exit.

I have disdain for the Naughty Nine Republicans in the Florida Senate who vote "No" which barred Terri from legislative relief. The GOP House Members who voted "No" on Terri, shame on them too.

WHAT EXACTLY IS THE AGENDA AND WHO IS IN CHARGE? I'm afraid that Judge George Greer is in charge - of everything.

PLEASE HELP FLORIDA... CALL YOUR SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN/WOMEN.

HELP US. We feel stranded by tyranny today, but Florida is ripe for change. We will demand it together as Americans.

Thanks, FV

I am without cable here. If anyone would be willing to transcribe Sean's interview with Mae's family members or attorney's, whomever, and post it I would so appreciate this! Thanks in advance!

I'm also without cable, but I think they will eventually have a transcript on Fox website.

Anybody with cable who reads this, if you have time, could you give Republic and me a sneak preview? :)

Jeb thinks we are all just going to go away.

Steam is coming out of my ears right now!

We need to copy his little quote into about ten thousand emails and then send it back to him with instructions as to where he can stick it.

MSM doesn't report THIS TRUE story, but they report fabricated stories about Republicans.

FEC Fines Pelosi Committees as Result ot NLPC Complaint;
Hypocrisy of “Reformer” Exposed

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) has fined two leadership PACs associated with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) in response to a Complaint filed by the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) on October 25, 2002. The FEC also has fined three campaigns that failed to return excessive contributions from Pelosi’s PACs within 60 days, as required by law.

Under conciliation agreements reached with the FEC, Pelosi’s two committees — PAC to the Future and Team Majority — will pay $21,000. Julie Thomas for Congress Campaign Committee (D–IA) and Van Hollen for Congress (D–MD) will each pay $2,500, and Joe Turnham for Congress (D–AL) will pay $2,000. The three campaigns also agreed to disgorge $5,000 each to the U.S. Treasury.

Got an email from the American Family Association to write to your senators about their votes on judicial nominations.

An Important Vote Coming Up On Judges

"The Constitution Is What The Judges Say It Is." – Former Supreme Court Chief Justice Charles E. Hughes

"Candidates With Deeply Held Christian Beliefs Are Unfit and Disqualified From Serving As A Federal Judge." - New York Senator Charles Schumer

Dear ,

On May 1, 2004, in a Senate Judiciary Committee session, Senator Charles Schumer of New York said that J. Leon Holmes was disqualified as a candidate for a federal judge appointment because of his "deeply held conservative religious views." Holmes is a Catholic.

On June 11, speaking of Alabama Attorney General Bill Pryor, a nominee for the appellate court, Schumer said Pryor’s beliefs "are so well known, so deeply held that it's hard to believe that they're not going to influence" his decisions. Attorney General Pryor is a Catholic. Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California also opposed Pryor because of his "deeply held religious beliefs."

Former Supreme Court Chief Justice Charles E. Hughes once said, "We live under a Constitution, but the Constitution is what the judges say it is." In plain English, that means we don't live under a Constitution but under judges, some of which have total disregard for the intent of the Founding Fathers.

Now, add to that the belief by Senate liberals that a devout Christian is automatically unfit and disqualified as a candidate for a federal judgeship.

The ACLU, Planned Parenthood, People For The American Way, Americans United For Separation of Church and State and their allies in the Senate are ready to block--by filibuster--every judicial nominee who doesn’t support their liberal agenda. People for the American Way alone has already raised $2,000,000 and has a "war room" in Washington staffed by 50 people.

A vote to end their filibustering will soon be taken. The vote will be to abide by the Constitution and require a simple majority of votes cast, or--as the liberals want-- to require 60 votes to end their filibuster. This will be the most important vote taken in this session of Congress.

Don’t let a minority of 40 Senators and their liberal, activist cohorts on the bench set the precedent that a devout Christian is unfit and automatically disqualified as a federal judge.

Sincerely,
Don

Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman
American Family Association

P.S. Vitally important. Please forward this to your friends and family and alert them to the importance of this vote. ========================================================

And, they've added this as an asterisked footnote

*Justice Kennedy, in making the ruling on capital punishment and with the agreement of a majority of other justices, wrote: “It is proper that we acknowledge the overwhelming weight of international opinion against the juvenile death penalty.” The point here is not the ruling, but the fact that the court looked not solely to the U.S. Constitution, but also took into consideration European law.

In making their decision legalizing sodomy, Kennedy again wrote for the court: “The laws of Northern Ireland forbade him (the homosexual defendant) that right” (to practice sodomy). Kennedy also referenced the European Court of Human Rights and wrote: “Other nations have taken action consistent with an affirmation of the protected right of homosexual adults to engage in intimate, consensual conduct.”

I've been wondering where HINO is. Reckon he's died his hair like Scott did? Like you I picture him and Jodi being frightened everywhere they go. Sweet payback for the life they have led. I also think of the Fl legislators wondering if they think about when they will be tried for murder? It will happen, it happened to the Nazi's and it will happen here. Everyone faces a day of judgement, and it almost always is in this life as well as eternity.

Just read on Newsmax that Tom Delay has apologized for some of the remarks he made. When will Republicans ever learn?
By apologizing he played right into their hands, now they will want blood. I'm not asking for something superhuman, I'm asking for someone to support life and not apologize for it.

Tom Delay needs to ask himself if he wants to go down in history like Trent Lott. How better to be like Abraham Lincoln. Before signing The Emancipation Proclamation he sat at his desk physically exhausted. He sat it aside twice telling his secretary of state he wanted to sign it in such a manner as to never waiver. He knew he would go down in history for doing so. This is your chance Tom. Don't waiver!

Tom DeLay has NOTHING to apologize for.

I think the Republicans are afraid because MSM is NOT on their side, and many people get their news, unfortunately, from tv.

But IMO, Conservative Republicans aren't going to win over those types ANYWAY, so they may as well energize the base.

AND here's the longer version, if you have a few extra minutes:

If you e-mail AND call, you can be even more effective.

Call or/and or e-mail your U.S. Senators, tell them you want them to vote to end a filibuster by a simple majority as the Constitution requires.

Should the Senate fail to conform to the Constitution's rule of a simple majority, a minority of 40 liberal Senators can use the filibuster to force their agenda on every American. Get your friends to call.

The NEW toll-free number is 1-877-762-8762! If that's busy, you can call this toll number (202-224-3121) or
your U.S. senators at their individual numbers (or contact them by FAX).

Ask to speak with your Senator. When finished leaving your message, call your other Senator.

==>BUT if you don't have much time, and want to end the filibusters for judicial nominees, click here:

http://www.capwiz.com/nrlc/issues/alert/?alertid=7354231&type=TA

There is a formula:

If you e-mail, it counts it as 10 voters.

If you call, it counts it as 50 voters.

If you write a letter, it counts it as 100 votes, but send letters to local office because of Anthrax scare in D.C.

If you go in person, it counts it as 500 voters.

We all fought so hard for Terri, so if you haven't called and/or e-mailed your U.S. senators to ask them to end the filibusters, please do so, to save many lives in the future from the clutches of activist judges.

Since the emergence of the Republican Party in 1854, the Republicans have never filibustered even one JUDICIAL NOMINEE. That's 151 years!!

During President Bush's term, the liberal Dems have filibustered TEN (10) judicial nominees. That's less than 5 years.

Recap:

Republican filibusters for judicial nominees in 151 years - ZERO

Liberal Dem filibuster for judicial nominees in 5 years - TEN

You see, the Dems can't win at the ballot box, so they want to legislate from the bench. This is the ONLY POWER they have left (and LEFT, pun intended).
