So what happens, if Radical Muslims take over Italy through stupid euro immigration policies. Do you think they will destroy Vatican City (in a few decades)? President Bush should invite to move Vatican City to US territory - It would be funny to see the reaction from Euro.

Yes, that passage seems clear.

In the prophecy Petrus Romanus is not enumerated at all but an addendum to the last enumerated entry, the glory of the olive. There could be one Pope left.

Keep track of this and check again when the next Pope is elected.

I was Catholic for a good part of my life and when I was younger, I remember my oldest sister talking about how the end of the world was imminent when a Pope took on the name of Peter. I never asked her where she heard of this, but likely it was from other Catholics.

I have read in a few different places that Petrus Romanus was add much later to the collection of works.

The original collection was 111 popes -- Petrus Romanus made that number 112.

The Benedictines were called the Olivetans.

I think I'll stick with the Word of God.

---

Amen to that! It is God's word or nothing. Check the book of Revelation under "false prophet" in the end times.

"Jose da Cruz Policarpo"

Very interesting. Who else has a Benedictine connection?

The author is an interesting guy - at least when I was in college in the 70s I think he was the only non-Catholic to ever obtain his PhD from Vatican University. His thesis was on how the Catholic church had been responsible for the change of the day of worship from Saturday to Sunday. Apparently they either agreed with him or his arguments were sufficiently good that they awarded him his degree. I've heard him speak a few times - very, very thick Italian accent, difficult to make out at times.

England didn't become Protestant until the Reformation...we still have time in play.
("At the end of seven centuries...)

At that point England might look more like it did back in the Jacobite period.

Did Malachy say that peter the roman comes immediatley after the Glory of the Olives?

I took that meaning from the following:

"The 111th prophecy is "Gloria Olivae" (The Glory of the Olive). The meaning of the olive is unclear. The Order of Saint Benedict – not St. Malachy – has claimed that this pope will come from its ranks and Saint Benedict himself prophesied that before the end of the world his Order, known also as the Olivetans, will triumphantly lead the Catholic Church in its final fight against evil."

"The 112th prophecy says, "In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Petrus Romanus (Peter the Roman), who will feed his flock amid many tribulations; after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people."

If it's pure nonsense why did Peter Bindar write his graduate work on it at Notre Dame? (I can understand if it's only 50% nonsense ;~)

We can trade them straight across. The Vatican for the UN...

Thank you for posting all those with Benedictine connections. Cardinal Puljic would be an interesting choice!

For a prophecy to be real it has to come true. Time will tell.
