He may be wrong, but will DeLay stand up to him? And will the President get behind DeLay's actions? I'm concerned that the White House may not be interested in following this issue up the same way that DeLay is, and perhaps may use some influence to limit or even squelch it.

That would be unfortunate. The President SHOULD be the leader on this, but if he can't or won't he should get out of the way and let Tom Delay get the job done.

I'm not bashing President Bush, but Mr Delay seems to be the only Republican with a backbone in Washington right now.
