Dr. Cyril H. Wecht, the well-known forensic pathologist and coroner of Allegheny County, Pa., told listeners of a morning radio show that he was denied permission to observe Terri Schiavo's autopsy, despite the wishes of her parents.
A medical examiner in Pinellas County, Florida, is conducting an autopsy that could help determine what Schiavo's state of consciousness was and whether she was abused by her husband, as the Schindlers allege. Wecht, appearing on the syndicated America's Morning Show with Quinn and Rose, based in Pittsburgh, said that an investigator working for the Schindler's law firm had called him on Thursday to see whether he would be agreeable to observing the autopsy.
Dr. Wecht told Quinn and Rose he was certainly be agreeable to that, but that several hours later he received word that the medical examiner had declined to give him permission.
Dr. Wecht told the morning hosts that he considered this a mistake, according to Rose Somma Tennent. "He said that, if this were in [his] office, [he] would have said sure - not just because of professional courtesy, but because of the controversy sourrounding this case," Somma Tennet said.
Calls made during the show to the medical examiner's office were not returned.
The results from the autopsy are expected in a few weeks.
There was a thread with the whole report. I ran across it earlier tonight doing a search.
The ME was just going to OBSERVE. The apparent political incest in that county doesn't bode well for a fair autopsy, or any other investigation and didn't from the get-go. Nothing about this case has seemed logical. Could it be . . the Twilight Zone?
Reminds me of a song . . . Sung to the tune of "Papa, Won't You Take Me Back to Muehlenberg County" . . .
Mama, don't you take me down to Pinellas County,
To the back country where everyone knows
Their daughters go missing in Pinellas County
Where Greer's brand of justice is tawdry and low.
Papa, don't you take me back to Pinellas County
I don't want to go there at risk to my life,
I fear there's a man down in Pinellas County
Who will think that he owns me when I am his wife.
There are too many people in Pinellas County
Who think that my living is worthless at best,
Why are they wishing me gone and forgotten
When all of them are so happy and blessed?
I soon will be leaving old Pinellas County
To meet my dear Savior who is waiting for me,
He knows of my pain, he knows all about it,
And one of these days He will vindicate me.
Chorus: Mama, don't you take me back to Pinellas County,
While I am still living and drawing a breath
Papa, don't you take me back to Pinellas County
Where wicked deceivers are plotting my death.
Judges are low, Florida judges are lower than snakes' bellies.
Ths medical examiner is probably in the pocket
of George Felos and Judge Greer, so I expect nothing from it. So wait and see.
When I find the original reference I'll ping you. Have you an idea how many items I have read and saved? My head is swimming.
Meanwhile, here's a cutie. Might be of interest. Heart attack or no heart attack?

Q. Now, what did Mr. Schiavo tell you
6 about Terri's history?
7 A. Basically, I had approached this the
8 way I would approach examining any patient. In
9 other words, the history of the present illness,
10 what exactly happened back in 1990.
11 Q. So you got his description of the
12 underlying incident?
13 A. The events that occurred at that
14 particular point in time.
15 Q. Did he tell you that she had had a
16 heart attack?
17 A. No, I don't remember -- I do not recall
18 that.
19 Q. You concluded that she did have a heart
20 attack, though, correct?
21 A. No, I did not.
22 Q. It's not in your report?
23 A. No, I don't believe it is.
24 Q. What is your understanding of what
25 happened to her?
Page 272
1 A. Well, my understanding is that she did
2 have a cardiac arrest.
3 Q. Okay.
4 A. My understanding is further that there
5 seems -- it's still not definite exactly what the
6 cause of the cardiac arrest was.
7 Q. It was definitely not a heart attack
8 because her enzymes were not elevated, correct?
9 A. Well, I'm not going to answer that
10 directly. Suffice it to say that the diagnosis
11 of MI was not made or myocardial infarction was
12 not made.

15 Q What is a total -body bone scan used for http://www.zimp.org/stuff/03%20-%20WalkerDepositionDepo.htm.
(Snip.)
Q Is this compression fracture, then, in
8 common parlance, a broken back?
9 A Yes.
10 Q Is there any way to tell how old that
11 fracture would be?
12 A Well, as I've alluded to, the bone scan
13 gives some suggestion of that.
14 Q More recent rather than less recent?
15 A Correct. Typically in trauma the rule of
16 thumb is that a traumatic fracture is not active on
17 the bone scan after 12 to 18 months.
9 Q The report goes on to say, "The
10 presumption is that the other multiple areas of
11 abnormal activity also relate to previous trauma."
12 A That's what it says.
13 Q And, again, that's based on the fact that
14 Dr. Carnahan is a rehab physician, that you were
15 asked to evaluate for trauma?
16 A And the pattern of activity is fairly
17 typical of multiple traumatic injuries of relatively
18 recent origin.
19 Q I realize you can't assign a cause to
20 these injuries that you picked up in this report.
21 But typically in your experience, what would be the
22 causes of this pattern of abnormality?
23 A In somebody her age, an auto accident is
24 by far the most typical cause.
25 Q Assume that she was not in an auto
1 accident but that she had suffered an anoxic or
2 hypoxic encephalopathy type of injury from a cardiac
3 arrest and had been bedridden for a year at this
4 point. What might account for these abnormalities?
5 A In my knowledge, that type of injury
6 would not account for this pattern of abnormalities.
5 Q Okay. Is this a pattern of heterotrophic
6 ossification as reported in the literature that you
7 looked at?
8 A Not typically.
9 Q What makes it atypical?
10 A Well, if I were to pick one thing, I
11 would say the activity in the ribs is not typical.
12 And typically heterotrophic ossification occurs
13 around the joints because they're not being moved.
14 And typically you will see on the radiographs
15 calcium deposits actually sitting there. And they
16 don't look like periosteal reaction typically
17 either; they have a different appearance.
4 Q Can you say, then, within a reasonable
5 degree of medical certainty whether this bone scan
6 is consistent with heterotrophic ossification?
7 A In my knowledge, it's not consistent with
8 heterotrophic ossification as I typically see it.
21 Q Okay. And later on in your direct
22 examination you were saying that traumatic fractures
23 typically are not active on a bone scan after 12 to
24 18 months. Is that correct?
25 A That's correct.
19 Q Okay. Is there any way for you to say
20 from looking at this report when any of these
21 occurrences took place that caused the abnormality
22 to appear on the bone scan?
23 A I can only say that if they were
24 traumatic that they probably occurred within 18
25 months.
1 Q Is it possible
.
TERRI is US
TERRI, Pray for US
.
What an evil bunch. Also retarded.
Top Neurologist's Report on Terri released: (snip)
http://www.newsmax.com
"Spinal Exam: The patient's exam from a spinal perspective is abnormal. The degree of limitation of range of motion, and of spasms in her neck, is consistent with a neck injury. The abnormal sensory exam, that shows evidence of her hypoxic encephalopathic strokes (right side sensory responses are different from left) also suggests a spinal cord injury at around the level of C4. Her physical exam and videotapes also suggest a spinal cord injury is also present, as she has much better control over he face, head, and neck, than over her arms and legs. This reminds one of a person with a spinal cord injury who has good facial control, but poor use of arms and legs. It is possible that a correctable spinal abnormality such as a herniated disk may be found that could be treated and result in better neurological functioning. This should be looked for, as may be treatable. Thus, there may be an injured disk or spinal cord; the disk injury is more treatable, the spinal cord injury, if present without a disk injury, may be more difficult to treat. A person with a spinal cord injury and hypoxic encephalopathy will need different treatment and rehab recommendations than one who just has a hypoxic encephalopathic.
Interestingly, I have seen this pattern of mixed brain (cerebral) and spinal cord findings in a patient once before, a patient who was asphyxiated."
TERRI SUFFERED A SPINAL INJURY!
All they wanted was an observer. That was a reasonable request.
Or better yet:........
Dear District Chief Medical Examiner:
When Terri Schiavo dies, the potential exists that a crime will be covered up by her planned cremation without autopsy. That potential crime is NOT the issue at the center of the present controversy, but the yet unsubstantiated allegation that an assault led to her condition in the first place.
It has been reported in the press that Michael Schiavo intends to cremate Terri Schiavo immediately upon her death.
According to the Medical Examiner's department policy posted at: http://www.co.pinellas.fl.us/forensics/policy/policystatement.htm#CA , the medical examiner must approve or deny all such requests.
The attending physician in Terri Schiavo's case has a history of 5 NPDB reported malpractice cases. There is an open quesiton of what led to her original "event".
Please disallow the cremation until the medical examiner's office can perform an appropriate investigation and/or postmortem examination to determine both the immediate cause of death AND the proximate cause of death, including the search for any injuries from the past consistent with a potential crime.
Despite the currently accepted rationale for her initial event, evidence on postmortem examination may reveal that Terri Schiavo was the victim of a crime many years ago.
Judge Greer has not allowed an MRI or PET Scan. PET scans are of no value post mortem, but MRI may have some limited benefit, in addition to the physical autopsy, particularly for small, old injuries to ligaments and muscles that would be consistent with a trauma that occurred due to a crime (e.g. strangulation or abuse) if one had occurred.
If there are perpetrators of a crime covering something up, they will not want such an examination done. They will be afraid of justice.
Please act now to assure no authorization is given for cremation without a proper investigation and autopsy to address these issues.
Sincerely,
Poul Munk-Madsen

Law Enforcement Officers Tell Bush to Open Criminal Investigation In Schiavo Case
Officer Jack McLamb (ret), the highest decorated police officer in the history of Phoenix, AZ, has joined with active and retired law enforcement officers asking Floridas Gov. Jeb Bush to open a criminal investigation in the case of Terri Schindler-Schiavo, the disabled Florida woman who probate judge George W. Greer has sentenced to death by starvation and dehydration because she uses a feeding tube.
McLamb is founder of the American Citizens and Lawmens Association (ACLA), publisher of Aid and Abet Police and Military Newsletter. He is a former hostage negotiator for the FBI.
His letter to Gov. Bush follows:
Dear Governor Bush,
We active and retired, law enforcement police investigators, after reviewing the facts, evidence, witness statements, and investigative leads, in the Terri
Schiavo case have come to the determination that there must be a criminal investigation into the Schiavo case.
Our examination have caused we professional police investigators, to determine that there is evidence, witness statements (medical professionals and others)
that point to the strong probability that the victim/witness Terri Schiavo was violently attacked on the day of her injuries and this is likely what caused her disability. There are medical professionals who substantiate that Mrs. Schiavo was strangled and the blood was cut off to her brain for at least 4 to 5 minutes causing her brain damage. X-rays show that she received broken bones and other injuries on or around the same time as her alleged health problem on the day in question.
Testimony of witnesses state her husband Mr. Schiavo, even though being a trained nurse and did not start CPR at the scene of his wife's collapse. The emergency personal started CPR after they arrived which was some time after the "injuries" occurred.
We have assessed the person of Mr. Schiavo thought the witness statements of professional medical personal who have come in contact with him. Most of these witnesses have had contact with him in the medical or Hospice environment where his wife has been warehoused over the last decade. We say "warehoused" after much research into the total lack of rehab and medical treatment for
health problems such as infections, which he had demanded of the medical staff in each of these facilities.
Additionally, a true detriment to any criminal investigation conducted after Mrs. Schiavo dies, is that Mr. Schiavo has scheduled a cremation of her body
immediately after her death.
Governor Bush, we are concerned that the best evidence, witness statements, in any criminal investigation into alleged criminal attempted murder, capital assault and continued abuse, will die with Mrs. Schiavo. We also believe this is why Mr. Schiavo has had to turn down millions of dollars from donors, if he would but place Mrs. Schiavo's care into the hands of her family because of his concern that she may live and tell what happened to her on that fateful day. According to witnesses who spent months with Mrs. Schiavo, she could and did communicate with them during their duty hours at the Hospice centers.
Mr. Schiavo told these medical professionals he was wanting her to die. He also would cuss and say "Isn't that Bitch dead yet" and other words of disdain for his wife.
As you have heard, several professional medical nurses state that Mrs. Schiavo also ate and drank liquids during their tour of duty.
Governor Bush, this means that Mrs. Schiavo could be a witness to any possible crimes committed against her. Of course this will not be an option if she dies in the next hours. Our police investigators have read the witness statement of another professional medical staff member who said that on at least two occasions she and others believes that Mr. Schiavo tried to kill his wife while
he was in her room with the doors closed. These witnesses and investigative leads must be interviewed.
Governor Bush, we do not know what a full investigation into this case will determine, except we can be certain that more facts and evidence, will be discovered. But, one thing we are certain of, we police investigators need a
hero at this time to save the life of the prime witness and possible victim in this case. We are asking you to be that hero.
You do have the jurisdiction and power to start a criminal investigation into this case and suspend the death sentence of the prime witness.
Governor Bush, this is off subject, but it is a subject we lawmen know something about and we wish to share this with you. In the life of a man there are a few times when he is called on by the people to do something heroic. As you know, because of fear, most people pass up those very few opportunities to do what is right and be a hero of the people. This is why we see so few Americans in the
history books.
We don't have to tell you historically (even recent history) of men in high office who have answered the call to be a hero of the people. Yes, very few. But, some were governors who went on to gain higher office because of the
people's love and support for that heroic figure.
Governor Bush, do you know that the Pope and the Vatican have mentioned Mrs.Schiavo's terrible crucifixion here in this Easter week with her mother Mary nearby, and some Priests have now begun to reference it to the crucifixion
of a innocent man Jesus Christ, while His mother (Mary) stood nearby in anguish. Remember, Terri is a catholic and so is her family. You can be assured that most Catholics are going to side with the Pope.
Governor, very large Protestant organizations are on the side of saving Mrs. Schiavo's life until further tests can be accomplished and she can have real rehab to see if she can improve.
We have a letter of a very large national Jewish organization that wants Mrs. Schiavo saved. We can make all this available to you and your staff. But, Mrs. Shiavo's website has most of this material on it at www.terrisfight.org.
What we law enforcement officers wish to point out to you is that we professional investigators have our reasons to save this woman's life, i.e. we because she is a very important witness and the possible victim of a capitol
crime, but the world has heard of this case at this time. We even have a news article from a big Russia publication about American politicians letting a innocent women starve to death.
Governor Bush, the world and certainly most Americans want a hero today....this hour. The person who saves Mrs. Schiavo's life and gives her due process and a chance to tell her story of what actually happened to her will go down in history books. It is also true that after the books come out, and this story gets out about the facts, evidence of the conspiracy of government against this
innocent young women.... the people who allow her to die will also go down in history. It will mean the downfall of some in high places for their not wanting to step up and do their duty to protect the people and bring to justice
those who were the possible suspects in her demise.
Sir, I know that we are only law enforcement officers, but doubt us not, collectively we have been around a long time and know what we are talking about. There are already those in Hollywood who we know that are interested in the evidence and witness's into Terri Schiavo's side of this story.
Mel Gibson has issued a public letter on his own stationary to have our government leaders save her life. Some of our police association members are in contact with him and his family.
Governor, you are a good man. You could be a great man. There is no question this is a international situation and a heart warmer for any hero who steps forward to save this innocent, who "Pontious Pilate" (government leaders) has washed his hands of....here in this Easter week.
We police investigators look at all criminal cases as ...."does this case have jury appeal". Dear Governor, if any case has it.... this case has jury (massive public appeal).
Not only do you have the law on your side (one example - Judge Greer violated three state of Florida statutes in not defending Mrs. Schiavo as a disabled person when he pulled the tube of Mrs. Schiavo) ...we have the State Statutes, ....but you have Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson and other great leaders on your side. These great men and others, on numerous occasions, have stated that
the three areas of government, Executive, Judicial and Legislative, are to be separate and equal. You have publicly taken a lower and subordinate position to the judiciary - when this is not the case.
We criminal police investigators (and your Florida State Police) offer you a sound reason to be the people's hero and stop this young woman's horrible death thought dehydration, i.e.... THERE MUST BE A CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION INTO THIS CASE BEFORE THE PRIME WITNESS DIES! There are too many unanswered questions! Some of them may be criminal!
Governor Bush, you have your future before you, however some of that future may be linked to a young innocent who will die on your watch in the next few hours or days.
We believe in you, and we, along with millions of Americans, pray you will do the right thing, save a life, secure your witness... and be the people's hero.
We need a hero today.
Thank you for your efforts on behalf of all the people, even the weak and disabled.
Very sincerely,
Law officer Jack McLamb, Ret.
President of the American Citizens & Lawmen Association.
EXCLUSIVE
Schiavo Case Tangled Web of Deception, Corruption
By June Maxam and Ginger Berlin
© The Empire Journal
What a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.
How applicable to the Terri Schiavo case.
Virtually as soon as Michael Schiavo received the monies from the medical malpractice claim involving his wife, Terri Schindler-Schiavo, he withheld all therapy and rehabilitation services from her.
Terri Schiavo had sustained a serious brain injury as the result of a suspicious incident in their home in 1990 and in 1992, her husband had filed claims against several of her former doctors, claiming her collapse was caused by a misdiagnosis. He received over $1.5 million in 1993 including $750,000 which had been specifically earmarked by the trial jury for Terris rehabilitation based on a life expectancy of 50 years.
Mary and Bob Schindler Sr., her parents, consulted a St. Petersburg attorney about removing Michael Schiavo as their daughters guardian and discussed the case at length with him.
Unfortunately, the Schindlers did not have the amount of money the attorney demanded as a retainer to take the case.
That attorney then became the judge in the case-----a totally prohibited conflict of interest.
Thereafter, the attorney-judge approved the hiring of George Felos as the attorney for Schiavo to be paid from the trust fund and the stage was set for judicial homicide..
The judge wasnt George W. Greer of the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
It was Sixth Circuit Court Judge Mark I. Shames.
Since the inception of the Terri Schindler-Schiavo case in the Florida courts, the fix has been in.
Premeditated.
The law of this case is that she will die, Greer has steadfastly ruled .

Not all Canadians are the same by any means. I'm from B.C. B.C. and Alberta send ALL Conservatives to Ottawa. The country is rotten in the Central portion where incidentally, most of the seats are.
Anyway, How do you explain all the Pinellas country REPUBLICANS that voted to execute Terri. Frankly madam, I do know what I'm talking about. I have studied your history a great more in depth I'm sure than you have mine. Until this Schiavo charade, I was not aware that there was so much corruption in the State. I can cite you an article right now that points out how easily EITHER of the Bush brothers could have saved Terri. My question is WHY NOT? The information comes from 3 separate sources, one being Alan Keyes. There was literally NO excuse for this execution.
samantha I believe that this case has shown us all, without any doubt, that the county really IS owned and operated by the Church of Scientology. Their tentacles reach into every single area, occupation etc. They always seem to manage to get into powerful positions and from then on it's a breeze to push your philosophy.
For anyone who doesn't know, Lisa McPherson was a 36 year old Clearwater (Pinellas County) woman who was starved and dehydrated to death in the care of Scientologists in 1995.
Florida Law vs. Scientology Policy
A cult is running the town of Clearwater, Florida. They're taking over the County of Pinellas. And more than half the country thinks the cult's doing a bang-up job of running things.
We're in the f*****g twilight zone.
I guess the other Floridians lied then. Unless I'm mixing him up with McCabe. However, I DID see an article posted by one of our florida freepers that Crist REFUSED long ago and several times, to initiate an investigation by the DCF into complaints of abuse against Terri as a Disabled person.
Yes Likely the same one. How many Greta Van Sustern's can there be??? LOL
but but but the 'defendants' in this pending investigation into the wrongful (criminal) putting to death of a young woman named Terri who suffered a spinal injury as the (probable) result of a beating by her 'husband' & guardian will not be an action against Scientology...the perps are the judge, the lawyer and the guardian!
Actually when it comes to Quebecer's, it's the other way around. The rest of the country hates Quebec. We are all tired of being blackmailed by ONE stinking Province. You need not threaten me with stories of things wrong with Canada. Where do you think I got my screen name from? I am outraged most of the time. I just happen to be fortunate enough to live in a very Conservative belt of the country.
And rather than blowing up over oranges and grapefruits, I would think you'd be more interested in cleaning the parts of your State that are blatantly corrupt.
And another thing, we had a man here who thought it was a good idea, that he was putting his severely disabled daughter out of her misery by putting her in the cab of his truck, hooking up a hose to exhaust and co'2ing her to death. He is in prison to this day. Just doesn't fly here - YET!!
Hi RGS!! God to see your still around. Actually Dr. Baden stated that the bone scan showing the fractures at the time of her admittance to hospital and even X-rays before the accident, taken together with ALL the inforamtion from the autopsy would actually allow a Forensic Pathologist to form a positive conclusion on whether the fractures were from beatings. Some did I think, show that there were partially healed fractures on Terri's body at the time of admittance.
