It is morbidly funny watching the networks squirming, being so used to instantaneous information, while The Vatican is proceeding in their ancient rituals in dealing with the situation. You guys in the media will just have to wait, and you will be told the news when the time is right.

That's OK. The thread has now essentially and effectively been hijacked anyway, away from the Pope's condition, into doctrinal issues and arguments. Sorry if I hit the "reply" specifically to you.

Just writing on Saint Malachy's Prophecies. Don't know if I believe them.

"There is NO Biblical basis for anyone to believe the false teachings that dead people who are now saints in heaven hear our prayers and intercede for us."
Is there a "Biblical basis" to support the assertion that the teaching is "false"?
"Mary was an ordinary girl who God used in a miraculous way, but she has no power to intercede on our behalf."
St. Luke's Gospel notes that Mary was "full of grace" and "blessed among woman." It also notes that every generation would call her "blessed." From the Cross, Jesus offered Mary to the world (through St. John) as our Mother. A fundamental purpose of a mother is to intercede for her children.

That can't be, however, since Jesus Himself declared that the Church would not fall before the gates of hell.
I guess it becomes sematical...

You guys in the media will just have to wait, and you will be told the news when the time is right. But you know some of the media will be running to those groups which advocate abortion, homosexual marriage, etc. etc, to get their take on Pope John Paul II. I may just watch EWTN and Fox (and not those folks in the morning)...

No.
I didn't make the assertion, somebody else did....yet he isn't getting bashed for it. I thought I would make sure people knew there was somebody on the thread, not me, actually suggesting the Pope might be the anti-christ.

As Sky got that information from Italian TV, I can presume it's the Italian definition of soon. Which is either Ferrari soon, or construction of the aqueducts soon.
