I know exactly what that kind of fear is like. I have disabled children as well.

We know each others deepest fear. God bless you.

For TERRI and my GRANDMA...

ALL I FEEL, AND HOW I CRY..

I fall to my knees, and I wail…
Why? Dear god oh why?

She fell, her big sin, she fell. She collapsed, she fell

All the life, all the love, all of it gone. Forgotten … she is not what she once was… she is not as “useful” to us… her sin, again, she fell…

She is not perfect.. she is not the way we would have her…. She is soooo inconvenient..

So she is what… gone.. why keep her here.. why bother… why not take her where she is loved, for we don’t… we see the imperfect… we see the trouble to take care of her…. I wail because I want her.. I want her here where I can love her.. I can care for her.. but no- you take her.. but why…

Because we did not cherish her. You will won’t you…

We are this could we are this callous.. her life. Not what we would want.. not what we would have. Not what we want to nurture..

But you will won’t you… you will feed her.. you will love her…

We failed her…

We failed… and so we lose her…

"She was after all, sentenced to DEATH. For what crime, I'm really not sure."

It shocks me to my very core...what did this young lady do to deserve this? She was tortured to DEATH, and the JudiciaryBranch stood strong and united and DEMANDED the death of Terri Schiavo, despite the Legislative and Executive Branches giving the Judiciary ample opportunity to DO THE RIGHT THING!! The Judiciary REFUSED!!

The Left is DEAD...MUD

Difficult to express a substantial opinion without seeing the full record, although I note that the various appellate reviews apparently didn't find anything demanding attention.

I wonder how he got the pic? I've never heard of him before.

He has no place on FR. I reported this and the link was removed and if I see it again, I'll report it again. How ironic to have a link to a neo-Nazi website on THIS of all threads. A disservice to FR, and if I may, to Terri.

Hopefully the autopsy will help in determining the validity of that allegation...MUD

but hopefully the autopsy will tell whether there ever was a heart problem---

That will be a very interesting autopsy finding. I hear that a Coroner in Penellas(spel?) will be doing it. I hope he's on the up and up.

then a few minutes later Terri's father got up to speak and could only say a few words before he choked up so bad he couldn't speak---

What a horrible tragic situtation for her family.

As the disability rights group Not Dead Yet has pointed out, she was deprived food and water simply because of her disability.

Well, bonus points for creativity, but realistically, she was denied food and water because that's what she wanted. So the law determined, anyway, right or wrong.

1.) This is what should have happened a long time ago. The actions of family and protestors denied this woman her place with God for too long. To insist on holding onto a minimal shred of Earthly life does not protect and value life but rather deminishes the soul. It makes the case that physical is more valuable than spiritual. In essence those who dragged this on were declaring their lack of faith in God to save the soul. And after all, that's what it's all about -- the saving of the soul, not the physical life. The soul is what matters. Terry's ability to make choices (and therefore serve God) ended long ago. There was no reason why she shouldn't have been released from this earthly plain years ago. God is merciful and if his will were done Terry would have moved out years ago. It was the actions of family, lawyers and protestors which prevented God's mercy from working.

So, under that definition - all children, especially infants and fetuses, must be killed, and all mentally disabled individuals must also be killed. That's unbelievable.

2.) When a man and a woman marry they leave their parents and cleave to one another. They become one flesh. The husband is the right one to make decisions about the spouse, not the parents. THat is God's order.

You haven't followed this case at all, yet you are commenting anyway - unless you think marriages are "open".

And they got it - neither Whittemore or the 11'th found due process violations.

No they didn't. They required a de novo review. That was admitted in one of the decisions. It was not given.

Kennedy said that Tom DeLay's comment about judges out of control, having to answer for it, was "reprehensible" --- and he mentioned the recent violence against judges and their families.

Incidentally, I searched Google to see if John Kerry had anything to say on the Schiavo controversy. FWIW, here's the World Socialist Web Site -- http://www.wsws.org/articles/2005/mar2005/jack-m31.shtml -- "According to a spokeswoman, Kerry supported the legislation giving Robert and Mary Schindler the right to take the Schiavo case into federal court, adding only the characteristic Kerry quibble that 'any intervention by Congress is temporary and Mrs. Schiavo’s family must come together. It’s a question for her family, and their doctors, and their faith.'"

That autopsy is rigged. What about the bone scan reports? and the CT scan results? They all point towards him.

Money doesn't have to be at the bottom of this, but it's the root of all evil. And if what just happened isn't the definition of evil, I don't know what is. Felos is a blatantly crude self-promoter, so you know he's hawking for as many options/offers as possible. Schiavo wouldn't have hired this man if he had an ounce of integrity, so he's defined himself. They're quite a pair. As for the Schindlers, they'll need time to come to terms with what's happened. Years and years of bitter, desperate fighting for their daughter's life, only to see Michael do his worst. And yes, the cold chill that's run down the spine of all the disabled and their caregivers/families as the result of this...undeniable. Easy as pie. We need the money for something else, someone else -- a more productive person. The disabled and ailing suddenly become nonpersons. Draw a straight line from A to B and pull the plug. Liberals will do it asap. No creeping eugenics. It's an avalanche.

Former Schindler attorney Pat Anderson told Hannity today that the Medical Examiner has announced that there will be no independent examiners at the autopsy---apparently he's in charge and intends to be solely in charge.

Regarding that other thread we were talking about earlier:

I hope that it isn't time for another donation drive on FR, soon---

I didn't know till tonight that you two had such a "personal" stake in how the judges and the world "judged" the worth of Terri's life---I am so sorry, and I know that having so many "fr friends" that also feel that same as MS, is most disheartening---but, don't despair, I have a loud mouth when I have something I need to say---

And believe me--I will say it---

"Blessed are the Meek" or something like that...

I was dumbfounded, watching Catherine explode last night. She really lost it, and you had to wonder where was the dispassionate judicial temperament? I've seen more reasonable two year-olds.

I want the ones who defended Terri's murder, as "letting her go" or other nonsense, to tell me, what mental institutions do we start with first?.....

There are millions of parents with disabled children. I don't think the government has realized how much this dear woman meant to us. We saw our children in her. She was allowed to be murdered. Now some of us are wondering could my child be next?

Lord, send us the grace we need to accept this terrible fate....

prayers to Terri's family.....

Amen

The United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida shall have jurisdiction to hear, determine, and render judgment on a suit or claim by or on behalf of Theresa Marie Schiavo for the alleged violation of any right of Theresa Marie Schiavo under the Constitution or laws of the United States relating to the withholding or withdrawal of food, fluids, or medical treatment necessary to sustain her life.

Guess what? That's a due process review.
