Don't you know? Any person in any condition that they ("they" being the masses) would rather not be in is already dead, and will be treated as such.

America is lost. Gone. Finished.

Yes, I read that one too and I agree with it. However, many of those I saw posting to that thread, have not been practicing what they preach as I have read many nasty statements made by some of them as well.

The DeathoCrats will rely on courts for their roundups.

You're only compounding the problem and serving the cause of the true deathists if you insist on demonizing the Useful Idiots who've been "educated" into offing their own.

As a result of reduced death rates, there are more people in their non-productive years than ever before. More children and more elderly people unable to participate in the world's work force increase the burden on the productive age group. [...] The National Academy of Sciences has said:

Either the birth rate must go back down
or the death rate must go back up.

The "Deathocrats" never made it U.S. National Defense policy that "abortion is vital to the solution" of population control at home AND abroad.

The "Deathocrats" weren't arguing well before Roe that "availability" and discriminatory pricing structures were the major issues concerning abortion, that our healthcare system needed overhauling or that the nearly 400 million they were earmarking for contraceptive research should include work on predeterming the sex of children.

It wasn't the "Deathocrats" who were arguing that perhaps some people shouldn't be allowed to breed, that "using the techniques we use on cattle" superior humans could be bred using fertility clinics, that the great success of contraception was the divorcing of sex from procreation and that the well-intentioned social programs which had resulted in a "down breeding" of this nation ought to be remedied so that we could protect our Genetic and Hereditary Quality.

No, it wasn't "Deathocrats" saying any of that.

Back then, the "Deathocrats" still had the audacity to call abortion and birth control targeted genocide ... as if the language of their opponents regarding "down breeding" and "genetic quality" and "quality of life" said what it meant and meant what it said.

It certainly wasn't the Deathocrats who noted for the record that:

The government can provide leadership and direction but should never be put into a position of having to enact controls on population as a result of public ignorance and indifference.

With any luck, then, Terri Schindler has served her purpose in "educating" the masses to the critical need for "Living Wills" and a more humane means of euthanasia than the starvation currently legal in all 50 states and the real "Deathocrats" won't have to be "put into the position ofi having to enact controls on population as a result of public ignorance and indifference."

Dummy up, Laz. The courts clearly are looking to the "will of the people" in these instances ... as represented by their pro-life legislators who draft the laws their Pro-Life leadership signs in their executive capacity.

I had thought up to now that the "secret decision" of Laura Bush regarding stem cells marked the nadir of "sending a message." Last night, listening to the radio, I heard the pro-abort First Lady actually state that, because this was a "LIFE" issue, it should be a "federal" issue.

If that sort of Orwellian doublespeak no longer strikes at the heart and conscience of those with ears to hear it, I think our nation is truly lost.

More doublespeak here: Recommendations of the Task Force on Earth Resources and Population

We change Florida Statue 765.101(10) and that would prevent this injustice.:
765.101 (10)"Life-prolonging procedure" means any medical procedure, treatment, or intervention, including artificially provided sustenance and hydration,[...]

Until that changes, judges can act in this manner.

God's blessings be on your gentle soul, Terri Schindler. Thank you for the spiritual reawakening that came to me in your suffering. The first time my little girl wept for a fellow human being, it was for you.
You were a beacon of light in many needful hearts, and we will honor your memory all our lives.

In the past couple years Florida law was changed to specifically make a feeding tube considered extraordinary means. That could've been changed by Jeb, et al. It wasn't. The Congress could've addressed this in a general way because, despite the media over-emphasis on this particular case, this feeding tube removal happens EVERY DAY. It's happened since the early 1980's when the courts first ruled. Congress did nothing of the kind.

Like I said, this death represents a dereliction of duty on the part of all three branches of government as well as the people. No, it did not happen overnight. A "nation of laws" that is adversarial to the protection and defense of the innocent is a nation destined for downfall.

I question your assertion that feeding tube removal happens every day for the purpose of starving otherwise helpess people to death. Even if this is true, the frequency in no way effects the moral turpitude of such an action.

Thank you but I'm hopeful ContraryMary will answer as well.

I have a lot of respect for the biker guys I read regularly courtesy of Fierro's pings as forthright rational folks.

One them begs to differ, evidently, with your take on the acronym.

This is a dark moment in the history of Western Civilisation. It was not a fascist regime which killed the weak and disabled, but the processes of a modern, functioning democracy. God help us all.

I completely agree. This is a dark day for the United States of America.

I posted this earlier on another thread.

Reminds me of a story I once heard.

A kid came home from school and didn't see that the mom had invited the preacher over for dinner.

The kid said, "Mom, you won't believe what I did today. I saw this snake on the ground, and I stomped him and stomped him and stomped him and stomped him..." then he saw the preacher "and then the Lord called him home."

A great evil has been done in the United States of America.

"Hello Landru."

How'ya doing Mr.M.
Long time, no see.

Hope well with you & yours, and in light of recent events?
I certainly hope neither of us find ourselves on a ventilator anytime soon, too.
Else we may just as well give our souls to God, for our asses will be left to starve to death.
A *pox* on the legal bloodsuckers & politicians.

"It appears you have blown a head gasket just as I have over this. I have 2 short comments that to me sums it up"

What galls me most aside from the sheer hypocrisy from our "leader(s)" {spit} has to be the sheer ease with which the Liberal-Socialist sleaze bags who came out as "pro-life" were able to garner sooo much praise from the right, for what -- to me -- were painfully obvious, pitiful attempts at capitalizing on the poor woman's situation.
Man-oh-man that's a bitter pill to swallow.

How short the Rights memory is of the Liberal-Socialists.
How blind the Rights eyes are to what's in front of them.
How vacant the Rights *character* must be to have allowed that which has happened, right under their collective noses.

There's a good reason the Right is commonly called, "The Stupid Party".
Now we may add this abomination to the list of reasons why the Right merits such a title.

"1) Evil will always rear its ugly head when good men do nothing"

Maybe so.
But then again weren't our founding fathers well aware of the propensity for evil from man, too?
Wasn't the Constitution -- & BoRs -- supposed to be a stopgap against any & all evil doers shenanigans in situations just like this?

Well now we may all say we bore witness to the end of whatever protection(s) their sacred documents once held, for us all.
Hail "Mercy Killing" in our lifetime.
Don'tcha feel all fuzzy and compassionate-like now?

"2) Reagan would have stopped this murder, PERIOD!!!!"

I have no doubt of that Mr.M., none a'tall.

Of course then again the man we now have *leading* us is no Ronald Reagan either, in *spite* of what anyone says to the contrary.
The *lack* of response is deafening, indefensible, and damnable to boot but most of all it speaks volumes.

Deed(s), Tim, speak louder than words.

Always have.

...always will.

Lord, may these chickens come home to roost -- esp. as the most important topic on our FL senators' minds yesterday was not Terri, but .... roosters, cock fights.

May Terri now feel the sun upon her face
The wind in her hair
Her hunger appeased, and her thirst quenched
All of the things that her Loving husband denied her in life.

God Speed Terri

Not at all and please try to get control of yourself.

Terri can RIP now. Her family on both sides of this issue is to blame for the circus surrounding her and making her a pawn of political forces of the right and left.
