"Excuse me, do you think this appeal has a real chance or is this more window dressing in your opinion?"
Well, time is running out, but you never ever know how a court might rule. If they rule right off the bat that the feeding tube be re-inserted before the hearing is held, or they have the hearing right away, and rule right after it that the feeding tube should be re-inserted, I guess this would then be more than window dressing. However, it appears this is a last minute Hail Mary pass, to see if the entire 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, meeting en banc (all of them) will have enough of its members change their minds from previous decisions to swing this case the parents' way. Will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow and/or the next day.
However, this last minute appeal may become moot if Terri doesn't make it past tomorrow or the next day. I'll bet George Felos is in a tither. I understand he's been averaging about 3 hours of sleep per night, and it appears he'll again sleep very little trying to respond to this request on the Schindler's behalf to re-insert the feeding tube and have a hearing en banc. I would guess this won't go very far, but again, you never know until you know.
Yes but they could have refused all together correct??
How many voted in favor of the Schindlers last time and how many judges are there in total on the 11th???
thanks
I wish we could see the filing. CNN has a crawler on the screen that says Gibbs is argueing that he can prove that Michaels assertion that Terri wouldn't want to live is wrong. Also something about new revelations after more research....I can't remember it all.
Funny, Felos had no clue about this til CNN Radio called him. He's not a happy camper.
Why doesn't the court order her to be hydrated immediately by IV? Her rights to due process are being violated by STARVATION. She can't have a hearing if she's alread dead from dehydration and starvation. I cannot being to understand why they have not ordered her to be hydrated and fed while this is litigated. This is beyond cruel. It is cruel and insane at the same time. What possible "legal" reason could they have not to save her life so she can have this hearing?
I hope they do rehydrate Terri.
She has an IV drip for morphine, so if they say she should be hooked back up, they could first rehydrate her with water in the drip right away.
