"...God is not only very patient and forgiving, he also has a sense of humor."

Heck, you only have to go as far as Wal-Mart on a Saturday afternoon and you can see that.

CNN had a guy on the phone that was in Bangkok claiming he felt it and then he called someone in Phuket and the person in Phuket claimed they did not feel it in Phuket. (the guy on the phone was probably screwing with the dip#### news anchor.)

India issues tsunami alert after quake off Sumatra

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - India issued a tsunami warning as a precautionary measure on Monday after an earthquake off the coast of Indonesia, but said it had no evidence or reports of any killer waves being generated.

"We have issued a tsunami alert. The government is fully alert but we have no evidence or report that a tsunami will come or is coming," Sanjaya Baru, spokesman for the prime minister's office, told Reuters.

Shame on you for Making light of a poor woman being dehydrated & starved to death by the "STATE"

As opposed to inserting the issue into every possible issue, claiming God is punishing us for the Schiavo case?

Pot, kettle and all that...

I know that the 3-day pre- plus 3-day post-full moon is a huge window, and they [the phasers] also claim the new moon window. That is 12 out of 29 or 30 days. If there is a statistical correlation it would be energy release versus timing rather than quantity of shakers that would be interesting.

Fox News just had a guy on the phone that said that no way was it felt in Bangkok---that it isn't that big of a quake.

The guy on Fox has NO clue what he is talking about. It was shaking my condo (14th floor) for about 5 minutes. It was VERY VERY noticeable.

AP says: "Tremors from the quake could be felt in the Thai capital Bangkok for several minutes beginning at about 11:20 p.m. "

I'm illustrating the "all bets are off" nature of what is taking place...

What "bets" are off? World seems perfectly normal to me.

One problem is that people got used to abnormally LOW numbers of strong hurricanes hitting the US for three decades; thus, the number of hurricanes hitting the US simply returning to normal will cause orgasms among the Apocalpytikooks.

It was serious enough that my GF and I went downstairs and stayed down there on the sidewalk for about 30 minutes before coming back up. Many others in the building did the same.

Just go talk to your local Police/Fire/EMS/Hospital people.

Things go bonkers on full moons.

And that's completely irrelevant to earthquakes.
