In Terri's case, no Federal law existed that overrode the Florida Laws regarding legal guardianship and the right to murder yer ex-spouse.

Not even the XIVth Amendment? The Constitution contains a Presidential Oath of Office that says something about defending the Constitution. It also says something about the President seeing to it that the law is faithfully executed. It also says that the Constitution itself is the Supreme Law of the Land.

How does a state law on guarianship trump the right to life, due process and equal justice under the law of the XIVth A.?

Yer preaching to the choir, TE...I wanted Terri to live, too, and made exactly the same arguments you are raising, but still Terri's life has been trumped. And I'm not too sure Reagan would have reacted that much differently than dubyuh has.
