The announcement several days ago Albania -- a small country with limited resources -- was sending an additional 50 well-trained troops to Iraq came as a surprise to some observers. But it really should not have surprised anyone. Albania was one of only four countries to send combat troops during the operation "Iraqi Freedom." Albania is probably the most pro-American country on Earth. It showed its support of the United States early, when it initially sent 70 commandos to join the Coalition of the Willing's effort to bring peace, stability and free elections to Iraq.

Thank you, Albania! says Secretary Rumsfeld to Prime Minster Nano.
President Bush says "Thank you" to President Moisiu of Albania.
I read somewhere that a lot of the "conversions" were actually imported muslims from the Caucasus area.
Rumsfeld also shook hands with Saddam, so what?
Secretary Rumsfeld shook hands with Hussein as a courtesy when meeting him in 1983 as an envoy from President Reagan on a fact-finding mission to a country with which we did not have diplomatic relations.
Secretary Rumsfeld traveled to Albania to thank Prime Minister Nano for Albania's contributions of troops to Afghanistan & Iraq as well as the use of Albanian training areas, airspace, and seaspace to prep American units for deployment into combat.
And here's Powell walking down the main street in Tirana greeting the tens of thousands of Albanian citizens who came out to see him.
Again, photo ops are just that, photo ops. You can interpret them any way you want. How about the photo ops with Albright and that criminal Thaci? We can go round and round with "photo ops" Mark.
Well, monty, you can interpret them anyway you want, but I'll just stick with what they actually represent--which was President Bush & Secretaries Powell & Rumsfeld thanking the Albanian President and Prime Minister for their cooperation with the United States.
All of them, including Izetbegovic. Just as criminal as anyone.
No evidence that he's ever been banned for advocating the destruction of Christian Churches though, eh Bonly-boy?
Since Bonly-boy can't fault your facts or your logic, he's reduced to pointing out that you haven't been posting very long as if that proved something.
In his case, he's been around longer than his sign-up date would indicate, but that's a common occurence when someone returns to FR having been banned under their previous screen name.
It's the "Nanny nanny boo boo, I know you are but what am I?" tactic. Terrific.
