Bob and Mary Schindler, both practicing Catholics, urged dozens of supporters gathered outside the Florida hospice where Schiavo is being cared for to go home for Easter.
"The family would request that everyone go home, be with your children, hold them close and share every moment you have with them," said Brother Paul O'Donnell, a Franciscan monk who is a spiritual adviser to the Schindlers.
It was not clear if the Schindlers had finally abandoned all legal avenues in their fight to restart their 41-year-old daughter's feeding, a cause that embroiled the Florida legislature, the U.S. Congress and President Bush.

If one goes back to the days before the Nazis turned thier attention to the Jews one will find that the Nazis murdered what they called "useless eaters" first. Disabled that they they concidered a waste of food. Makes a much better analogy.
Nothing I've said is inconsistent with conservative viewpoints. There's nothing confusing, or shady, or anything like.
WHat it sounds like to me, is that you are about as smart as a box of rocks, OR you just want to continue arguing because you have a deep-seeded need to be angry at someone.
You pick.
Oh...
Is that like the definition of 'is'?
'murder' has so very many ways of being looked at by those who are living.
Unfortunately, no one murdered can disagree.
-snip-
The World's Superpower and Champion of Human Rights around the globe is starving and dehydrating a disabled woman to death and underage children who bring her water are being handcuffed and arrested.
Does that sum it up? Did I miss anything?
If China decides to put a bullet in the brain of all their retarded school children tomorrow, what can we say or do?
Next time we want to whine because Libya or Egypt is on the United Nations human rights council we better learn to bite our lip.
There is your perspective from overseas.
"The methods used for mass extermination in the Nazi death camps originated and were perfected in earlier use against people with physical, emotional, and intellectual disabilities. "
But terribly underpaid, probably!
they are if they are posting here for a living......LOL
Like I said, unfortunately what is happening to Terri Shiavo does not meet the legal definition of murder. It is morally murder, but doesn't meet the definition legally, so no one can actually be charged and punished by our system for the 'murder'. They will, however, answer to a higher court.
Still confused? Do I need to write it in crayon for ya, or what?
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
We're angry because Gov. Bush elected (no pun intended, honest) not to use all the means he was authorized to do so in getting Terri to safety.
It places in great doubt wether he is trustworthy with the life and death struggle of a person's life.
Snaaaaaaaaarky! LOL
It's not about loyalty.
You want loyalty, get a dog.
It's about expectations.
In point, the expectations of him to use all means he has at his disposal to get Terri to safety.
Better yet, maybe a gerbil makes a better pet. They're caged.
Can you blame me? When someone is deliberately being obtuse, it gets frustrating...
And where is YOUR restaurant?
Tell me, please - so I can make sure not to dine there.
see there big guy.....you posted earlier how we riduculed you last night......and now you are invoking the "Nazi" crap and saying it is an analogy.....you are doing the same damned thing the liberals do when equating Bush is Hitler and you don't want me to ridicule you......huh???....I'm maybe not an expert, but I studies WWII history for many years and in ROTC.....anyone linking the US of what is happending in Florids really minimizes what the Nazi's did....this Terri stuff is an orgasmic Sunday school picnic compare to Nazi Germany......no comparison what so ever...so when you use DU phrases or those that the Euros' use,.......well you lool very much the liberal activist
Not at all, I applaud the entertainment :)
You shouldn't state that as though it's a fact, because it's not. It's your opinion. There was a lawyer on FR just this morning who disagrees with you.
Well, loyalty is a two-way street. You have none to Jeb, there's no reason he should have any to you.
Watch the sky for a little housefly, with a hair tied to his leg, attached is a piece of tissue paper trailing him... on it, it reads "Eat at Jebs"
Tell me, please - so I can make sure not to dine there.
Too late. You're already at the buffet, going back for seconds.
I feel like I'm talking to #3Fan, only the posts are shorter.
