I quit playing "Let's Pretend" years ago.

Why do you suppose the Supreme Court refused to hear this case? Why were Reinquiest, Scalia & Thomas apparently in agreement with that decision?

If you are looking for meaning in all this, the only thing that occurs to me is that we are having our culture of death rubbed in our faces and each must decide where they stand. We have been warned, we have seen close up and personal the face of evil. The next move is ours.

Perhaps they were overruled.

They are denying Terri Holy Communion. Satanic forces are in play.

She had Holy Communion and Last Rites last week when the tube was removed, and will receive both again before she dies, according to Felos. He says that was in the Judge's orders.

It just doesn't get any more evil than this, really I am agast, I am out raged, I have zero tolerant for anyone that would condone such a barbaric act. I am trying hard not to blow up.

Usually if they disagree with the rest of the judges, they say so.

Justice Kennedy make that call all by himself.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Rom. 8:28)

"We sometimes think we can tell what good reason God might have for allowing evil, but often we can only guess.

"Maybe God allows people great freedom to do both evil and good because else they wouldn't be humans at all, but only robots. Maybe God doesn't turn all guns into salami and all bullets into bubbles because then the world wouldn't be real and couldn't be counted on. Maybe God allows diseases and tornadoes to make us depend on Him or to make us more courageous. Maybe God sometimes sends punishments on a whole nation. Or maybe there are times when a person's suffering — and the way he handles it — draws others closer to God.

"It is hard to say in a particular case. Often we do not know why God permits a certain evil. But we do know this: just as a doctor must sometimes hurt you in order to help you, so God is always working with us for good. Even when we can't see it or tell it. That is sometimes harder to accept. But no God, and no good, would be even harder to accept.

"We know one more thing. Our Lord Jesus himself, as he died inch by inch from his fatal wounds, shouted 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?'

"Two days later he was alive again and speaking peace to his disciples. God does act against evil and for good. It is part of his providence." (Neil Plantinga, A Sure Thing, pg. 45)

God will use this for good. We don't know what, yet. Perhaps people will be drawn closer to God by seeing the faith of her parents and that of the protestors. Perhaps God will use it to start revival. Perhaps people will realize the importance of living wills; this already is happening. But, God is a good God, and even the darkness gets turned into a bit of light by his Providence.

Maybe he will use this to decide that this once blessed nation should die in fire and brimstone, the Chicoms/Russians will be happy to oblige.

"Its high profile because the culture of death has made a landmark case. They keep on harping its a "Right to Die" issue. They will use Terri's murder as a "victory" for the "Right to Die" The Republicans will say "Well we could not save Terri because of the LAW". This mindset by the Republicans will magnify their "victory" That's what the "Good" Germans said when the Nazis ruled. This "right to Die victory" will propel the Eugenics, Abortions movement. The genie is out of the bottle if Terri is allowed to die".

You are 100% correct. Defense of anyone concerned with this mess contributes to their "victory".

Justice Kennedy make that call all by himself.

According to the order, he referred it to the full court and they decided. No one seems to have dissented.

Why can't Terri receive Holy Communion now or on Easter or anytime her Priest wants to give it to her? I guess if the "LAW" says no or when the Priest can, thats alright with you. Satanic forces are in play. As for Felos, he sounds like a ghoul when he say Terri looks the most peaceful he as ever seen her. Finally all those who believe in the "Law", Terri religious rights are protected by the First Amendment of the Constitution.

Amen. They just want to put the whole thing on Jeb. Thank God he is a strong and steady force like his brother. He will be fine. He knows in his heart he has done a lot to save Terri and he knows who is wrong in this whole thing.

the USA is broken up into 9 regions, appeals to the Supreme court first go to the Supreme that administrates that region. Should that justice deny the appeal that's it. No appeal, there might be another route to the Supreme Court, I am not an expert but Kennedy administrates the region that contains Fla and he denied the appeal I do not know if the entire court voted on the merits of the appeal, but I do know that if they did then only four votes are needed (not a majority) to take the appeal.

Hopefully someone with more then a lay knowledge will correct any mistakes I may have in my understanding of the appeal process.

She has received Holy Communion and she will receive it, and the Last Rites, again.

Personally I think they ought to also offer her water and soft food by mouth, in case she can actually process it.

I also think that even if one thinks a feeding tube qualifies as "heroic measures", the idea of starving and dehydrating someone to death is abhorent.

But I also think using lies and hyperbole, even if it's in defense of right, is still a sin.

it is inconceivable that the State has the authority to deemed this precious life unworthy and condemned to death....it is chilling. This entire week has been like an emotional "car wreck"......please let me wake up and let it be a dream.

Trying to deny Terri Holy Communion Holy Week, Easter eve, Easter IHMO is telling me that satanic forces are in play.
