Jeb must act NOW, and he can, says Keyes Governor has 'supreme executive power'

Thursday, Alan Keyes appeared on MSNBC's Scarborough Country with Joe Scarborough, and on Joseph Farah's national radio show, and declared that Gov. Jeb Bush not only possesses the "supreme executive authority in the state," but must act now to save Terri Schiavo.

When asked if Gov. Bush has done enough to help the disabled woman, Keyes said, "Of course not. He hasn't done anything. She is being starved to death!"

That's why I referred to bringing "Serious Force." Have a few deuce-and-a-halfs drive up with 60 national guardsmen who pile out and take positions. Then tell the deputies they are going in, and they will use such force as may be necessary to accomplish their objective. Those deputies aren't suicidal.

It is tragic the Schindler's haven't had better legal advice- but to put this at the feet of Jeb Bush is shameful.

It is , isn't it! He seems to have become a scapegoat. I, too, was angry at first and I didn't know who to direct my anger at, but I realize George W. and Jeb Bush shouldn't have to take the heat for this. The blame should be rite squarely where it belongs. On Michael Shiavo for wanting to kill Terri and even more so on Greer for ordering her death. Now we must get over our rage at this senseless murder and anger at the Bush's and do something to prevent this from happening again and the best way to do that is make sure we elect good conservatives who will appoint good judges. That is key!

Why are the Shindlers and more importantly Governor Jeb Bush allowing this illegal order, which constitutes arbitrary rule by judicial fiat, to go unchallenged? All our elected officials are obligated by their oaths of office to do everything within their power to protect our constitutional rights and to prevent the usurpation of illegal and arbitrary authority by the judiciary. Without the willingness to do that we effectively live in a judicial thugocracy.

The Florida Human Services aren't doing their job either.

I agree here too. This shouldve from the begining been argued from a custody issue. As a general rule in custody evaluations psychological tests are required and highly accurate. I believe her HINO wouldve clearly come out as anti social, among other things. It couldve greatly increased thier chances of showing he was not credible, or capable of putting her needs above his own.

I agree, also. They had to have been some of the worst lawyers I have ever seen. I don't think they had Terri's best interests at heart but were out for their own 15 minutes of fame.

Jeb brought this on himself by getting up and announcing that DCF had statutory authority to take custody, and then doing...nothing. He should have just kept his mouth shut if he wasn't going to act.

He tried to do something. He had a team and himself on the way to rescue her this morning and some snitch ran to the judge and snitched and the judge sent word to the Sherriffs to defend their positions and not let her be taken. He said Gov Bush would go to jail. Someone would have probably gotten hurt or killed and all hell would have broken loose, so Gov Bush backed off as he should have.

Two weeks ago, the prospect of Jeb in the White House would have thrilled me. Not so today, however.

This past week has buried any presidential ambitions he may harbor.

It seems very possible to me that Jeb's FBI file is among several hundred files democrats requested and illegally copied in the Clinton administration. That might explain his hesitation to act.

It is high time that the leaders of the republic think outside the box. If there can be an agreement with the legislature that they won't impeach, then the governor can stick it to the judge but good.
