A man has been arrested and charged with offering a $250,000 reward for killing Michael Schiavo.
Richard Alan Meywes was arrested in Fairview, North Carolina by the FBI and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office.
On March 23, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office forwarded an email to the FBI in Tampa which purportedly offered a $250,000 bounty on "the head of Michael Schiavo." The email placed an additional $50,000 bounty for the elimination of a judge who recently denied a request to intervene in the Schiavo case.
well thank you :)
I haven't struck out yet. I am a bit stubborn sometimes :)
No kidding Tonk!
I can't believe some of the stuff that has occurred on this site in the last few days. This issue has brought out both the good and the very ugly side of some posters.
It sucks, a buddy of mine has come back and he is letting people walk all over him.....I wish I could get through to him, but I can't....

Do you mean people are doing to him what was done to our Vietnam Vets? I swear, if I ever see witness such a thing, that ingrate and I will be hitting brick. All 110 pounds, 5'2" of me. It hurts me so much to think anyone in the military is getting that sort of treatment...
It's caused almost a Civil War here in FR.
People who are normally friends and support each other in the debates in other threads are at each others throats over this issue.
There is no middle ground in this among us it would seem.
The DUmmies must be enjoying watching us go at each other over this and they are laughing.
An eye for an eye.
When people believe they are living in a lawless society, they tend to supply the law themselves. That is what is beginning to happen on the southern borders of this country.
A violent threat/act upon M. Schiavo would not be a surprise. Whatever the source of that violence, the 'right' (defined as anyone not pledging allegiance to moveon.org) will be blamed.
Unless a remarkable/miraculous event occurs and Terri lives, M. Schiavo will no longer be useful to the institutions sponsoring this act. He is a managed pawn who has the potential to become a loose cannon. Unless Felos plans on staying by Schiavo's side 'till death do them part'.........(think Arkancide)
It would be foolish for anyone opposing M.Schiavo's actions to harm him. He is his own worst enemy and the best witness of those who want to expose the truth.
I think that some of the people on here are trolls trying to stir up trouble--like the recent posts to me insinuating my relatives currently deployed should be over here fighting for Terri and that America is not a great country. But you are right, there is a real schism developing--though I am a relative newbie--I haven't seen anything like this so far.
But I hope we bind the wounds and stick together. The real enemies are over in tinfoil hat DUmmie land laughing...
"It would be foolish for anyone opposing M.Schiavo's actions to harm him. He is his own worst enemy and the best witness of those who want to expose the truth."
Why would any FReeper, being of sound mind,
say a FReeper must behind this criminal act?
"Why would any FReeper, being of sound mind,

I must not be able to communicate very well, TGYC.
I'm saying just the opposite. Those 'sponsoring' M. Schiavo will be the most likely suspects if anything happens to him, IMO.
"This kind of crap is not good for our side. That having been said, I think Michael may be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life."
Oh, something tells me he's not going to have to wait long.
nah not like that at all...
just some stuff he had to take care of when he came back home. His wife knew they were getting screwed on it but he didnt care and just let it go. It wont hurt them in the long run, but its the fact that a year and a half ago he would have done things differently....
I guess its easy for civilians to forget sometimes that it isn't always easy for people in the military to come back and ease back into whatever life they were living before deployment. A lot can happen while they are gone--my friend in the Marines came back to two daughters who were little girls when he left, and are now in puberty, dealing with their first boyfriends. He told me in some ways it was easier back in Nasiriyah!
bump
wow ouch...
I dont know what happened over there for him. We were in different areas. I was in Baghdad and he was in Tikrit and Kirkuk most of the time.....
Like I said I havent struck out yet.
Good grief! I can't believe anyone would think that of you Tonk just because you believe passionately in what you believe in. What a load of baloney!
I would want to believe you are right; it certainly is not helpful to suggest that Marines deployed to protect our country are not doing their duty because they don't come back and do whatever oakwood thought they should be doing for Terri. But he was not a gentleman toward me, and for no reason, I happen to agree that what is happening to Terri is an abomination. First rule of engagement: don't attack your allies! As for our country; yes, I remember a better time. But if conservatives stick to our principles and fight off the unacceptable, it can be again. America is still God's best hope for mankind.
