"........ As of Thursday afternoon, Schiavo, 41, had been without food or water for six full days and was showing signs of dehydration flaky skin, dry tongue and lips, sunken eyes, according to attorneys and friends of the Schindlers. Doctors have said she would probably die within a week or two of the tube being pulled.
'It's very frustrating. Every minute that goes by is a minute that Terri is being starved and dehydrated to death," said her brother, Bobby Schindler, who said seeing her was like looking at "pictures of prisoners in concentration camps.
The brother of Schiavo's husband, though, strongly disagreed with that assessment, telling CNN on Thursday night that Schiavo "does look a little withdrawn" but insisting that she was not in pain. He added that starvation is simply "part of the death process."

Visits by Terri's mother, father, sister and brother to see Terri are completely monitored and controlled by Michael Schiavo, and they have been refused entry at times to see their daughter and sister for as long as 4 hours. Unimaginable!

She was a girl who laughed easily at her uncle's lame jokes. A girl so naive that she wrote to John Denver, asking him to come sing at her wedding, who went to Disney World for her honeymoon and believed that a good life meant that one day she'd be able to vacation there every year with her kids.

We await Judge Whittemore's latest ruling, and pray for Terri and her family.

TERRI SCHIAVO DAILY MARCH 2005 PART 6- NO FOOD OR WATER IN THE 6TH-7TH DAYS - GOOD FRIDAY
It is good to see that Terri's end of life wishes will finally be honored. Kudos to the judicial branch of government, which has stood strong throughout this ordeal, and has resisted pressure from the media and from the legislative and executive branches. As Terri dies and fulfills her final wishes, we can take comfort that our system of government is working as it was intended to work, and even with all of the "expert analysis" from the different news media outlets, the rule of law continues to operate in this, the greatest nation on God's green earth.
I hope he doesn't wait untill after lunch today, unless it is what it takes for a favorable ruling.

The medical community call what they are doing to her.....
Terminal Dehydration.
Enjoy your lunch.
Equal branches and separation of powers used to be considered a GOOD thing.
If this is what it is like to be ruled by judges, I can understand why the Israelites demanded a king. Not their fault it turned out to be the same thing.
Could we get a list of Florida State Senators' and Representatives' e-mail addresses, please?
Most of us have been lucky enough not have been wrung through the wringers of a court system. We may have felt we were wronged in a case but never to the extent that someone's life was at stake. Does it take a tragedy like this to open our eyes to the flaws in our judicial system? Where we find out that appeals don't count because they are only based on 'did the first judge follow the law?' And any new hearing keeps going before the same judge?
Suddenly I wonder, "is he really innocent?" about those gguys in prison.
IF someone had shot and killed MS 10 years ago, Terri would be safe today.
There's an awful lot about this that I just don't understand.
For one thing, how is it possible that the police of the state of Florida are under the control of a judge, and not the Governor?
What is going on there?
Only Jeb Bush can act to save her life
I for one pray that this woman has been in a vegatative state all these years. Imagine where you were fifteen years ago. Now, imagine that between now and then, you have been in a hospital bed the whole time. You are aware, but you cannot talk, write or communicate to anyone in any way, shape or form. You cannot even be fed much less feed yourself your favorites foods. You are being fed through a tube in your stomach. You cannot clean yourself when you defecate. You have a tube inserted into you to rid yourself of waste fluids. You cannot wash yourself.
You cannot hug your parents or kiss your husband. You will never be able to participate in the act of procreation. Much less hold any kids that you wanted to have. If you hurt or even itch, you cannot communicate this to others or do anything about it yourself.
FIFTEEN YEARS of living like this. Not being able to walk, talk or participate in any aspect of life that you knew before. The hell of being aware of this for that amount of time trapped in a body that is merely a container for your mind is not something that I would wish on anyone.
If she is aware, I believe that the ones who would force her to exist like this are the torturers. They want to keep her alive for their own selfish reasons.
FREEP: Should the feeding tube be re-inserted into Terri Schiavo? (Bill OReilly Poll)
Sir/ Ma'am;
I went to the site recommended by the state of Florida for Living Wills. But I noticed that the Living Will sited there states only that no extra efforts be made to preserve or prolong life. What if a person wants life prolonging efforts?
I have heard many people say that this issue about Terri Schiavo could have been avoided if she had filled out a Living Will. But if she didn't want medical care DIScontinued, why would she have filled out a Living Will form?
There seems to be a catch 22. Terri didn't fill out a Living Will because she didn't want her medical treatment discontinued. Yet, because she didn't fill out a Living Will, the state assumes she doesn't want life support.
Is there a recommended form for residents of Florida to fill out to state that they DO want medical treatment continued?
I'm trying to be polite. Am I wasting time with them?
