It's scary. I've always felt there would be a day when Canada would turn on Jews. And, since I live 5 miles from the US border, I have always thought the US would save me if that happened. Now, I'm not so sure it's any better.

I agree. The temptation is to be angry at those who have tried to do something but, we feel, have not gone far enough (and I think they deserve some of that anger). But when it comes down to voting or taking other action, our real anger should be reserved for the truly guilty--the Florida Democrats, Judge Greer, Michael Schiavo and his lawyer, those in the media who have misinformed the public regarding Terri, etc.
No, we, the American people, ceded authority to the Judiciary. Their tied hands are a result of our not putting an end to this long ago. In essence, we are a land ruled by Judges by will of the people.
It is reality, frightening, but reality.

You're reading my post wrong. I wouldn't dare compare her or anyone else with Jesus. If you read what I posted, it's about **the trials** not about the person. I deliberately posted verses that spoke about the travesty and injustices of the "trials" that led to Jesus' death, to emphasize the travesty and injustices of this week's trials. And since this is Passion week, and many people will be reading/hearing these exact verses today, I don't think it's inappropriate at all to reflect on themin this way.
