Precious Heavenly Father - We are bombarding Heaven and not giving up - like that woman in Your Holy Word who kept badgering the Judge until she finally got her wish - Please save our little sister, Theresa Marie Schiavo, from out of the clutches of the evil ones who want to take her innocent life. In the Glorious Name of Jesus Christ, our Master. Amen.

I don't remember a post like that. Marching in with guns is crazy and hypocritical (since it would no doubt cause death or injury to someone). The post I was replying to, unless I misread it, talked only about the police firing into an unarmed crowd (armed only with water).
I understand your frustration with off-topic sub-threads, though. They drive me nuts sometimes and here I was engaging in one!
To: Chad Fairbanks
There's much proof. Go check all the documentation on wwww.theempirejournal.com. I'm not responding to you again because you are obviously one of the euthanasia enthusiasts who are blood thirsty for Terri's death. You're just trying to stir up trouble and take our focus off the real problem.

Please step back from your computers, pray that Terri will be saved, but don't advocate President Bush or Governor Bush breaking the laws of this Nation. When President Bush took the oath of office, he didn't swear to uphold only the "good" laws, he swore to uphold the "laws" which meant good and bad. The President, the Congress, Governor Bush are doing all they can to help. Please stop trying to be a voice of reason when we're trying to be hysterical.
I want the Governor to intervene. And I still have hope that he can do it within the bounds of the law. I have to believe he's doing what he can and that he's just as frustrated as the rest of us.

The principle our President is required to stand upon is in the oath of office:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
The reason I supported President Bush and do today is because he is a Christian man of principle and does not act rashly in something that could do harm to this Nation which is based on the Rule of Law. He has done his best within the framework of the Constitution -- to ask him to break the Rule of Law in this case is wrong and shortsighted IMHO.

I wrote Jeb a long (and may I say eloquent) email letter last night requesting him to act despite "political" fall out. I reminded him that a crime on one person is a crime against us all, the people, and that if he lets Terri die because of the malfeasance of a judge, it is like killing us all. The "law" be damned. There is a higher law. The Florida constitution would protect him. He swore to uphold it and the preamble guarantees the right to life. I have to barf now because Michael Medved has a Schiavo/Greer apologist on and it's making me sick. Aaaaaaaaaargh!
