"Judge Greer is a COUNTY judge. This is madness."
No. Judge Greer is a Circuit Court Judge, not a County Judge. Under Florida Law there is a distinction.
Would that it were mine.
If you have actual proof of that, I recommend that you get the evidence to the proper authorities ASAP. It could mean someone's life!!!!!!!!
It started because someone made a comment about 30,000 people moving in at one time to take Terri water, I replied that I'd wondered what would happen if hundreds or thousands moved in with water at the same time, and another poster said that such a thing would be slaughter--as in the movie Zulu. It's not totally irrelevant. It's gone off subject now, but (speaking for myself) I've engaged in it because I'm sick, almost physically, thinking about Terri. I'm sorry, I needed a bit of a break.
Well, there is an overall plan and his specific decrees, which are different.
His overall plan would involve your sin since we all sin and it fits into his plan somehow. It would obviously be bad of God to ordain specifically when we sin. But, he directly ordains some things, things that would not be sinful for God to direct.
It is complicated, but one of the verses I quoted plainly said God's will is never thwarted by people. THen of course there is the fact that even a sparrow doesn't fall apart from his will.
I won't go into a bigger discussion than that...such a thing would belong on the religion forum.
"True... However, a flaw in FR software, if one is clever enough, makes pulled posts readable ;)"
I didn't know that. But I'm often the first one to click Abuse on those posts, so I've usually already read them. However, I believe I know what that flaw is.
Anyone that compares this to 9/11 or the OKC Bombing or the Bombing of the USS Cole or Kobar Towers or any other bombing needs to gripe on yourselves.
Will you people read what you are writing -- this is emotional but ask yourself how many innocent people have died at the hands of the terrorists? What is happening in Florida is wrong -- Judge Greer is evil IMHO along with Felos and the rest; however, you had better not step there. You had better look at the what the Congress and the President did and see how Randall Terry and those lawyers botched the original pleading to the District Court. They were more concerned with getting Judge Greer then anything else. Wrong track and even when pointed in the right direction by the District Judge in his ruling, they blew it again.
There is a big wide net of what has gone wrong but to say this is as bad as 9-11 or that the Bush brothers are bad for not breaking the law, ask yourself what you have become? Are we a Nation of laws, even bad laws that need changed, or do advocate anarchy? Where did some of you stand when Reno took Elian by force or the Branch Davidian Compound by force? Now you want President Bush to do the same?
Please step back from your computers, pray that Terri will be saved, but don't advocate President Bush or Governor Bush breaking the laws of this Nation. When President Bush took the oath of office, he didn't swear to uphold only the "good" laws, he swore to uphold the "laws" which meant good and bad. The President, the Congress, Governor Bush are doing all they can to help.
The unending joys of high level theological carousaling...I tend to treat it as a spectator sport...but I do admire it when it's well done.
Does that make sense?
That makes sense.
The rest is legalistic masturbation.
Fine with me. But could it be a "bed of nails", and can we keep the blinds closed too? I hate these people.
BTW, what in the world is Jeb waiting for?
If he is worrying about political ramifications of going to get her, he's nuts. He will come out a hero if he does the right thing. What in the world could he be thinking.
If and when the truth of this 15 year imprisonment comes to light, he will look like a servant of God. Only Democrats could be angry then.
...and to make matters worse, my internet toolbar has 666 on two different places...weird
Thats just sick.
I don't even have the words.
I'm not criticizing the conversation... knock yourself out :)
However, I may be mistaken, but I recall a post around that time (I may be mistaken that it lead to that discussion) that talked about several hundred with guns marching on teh Hospice and taking her away from there, and that the cops wouldn't dare start a shootout etc...
You didn't graduate with a course in Civics -- had to memorize the Bill of Rights but then I had to memorize the Gettysburg Address as well.
My daughter took a Government class at OU as part of her Gen Ed requirement -- outstanding class -- she kept her book and I use it for reference. But then OU teaches Ethics in Journalism as well. Middle America strikes again!
If anything is learned from this episode, perhaps it is that it would be better in the long run to vote for the Constitution Party slate of candidates.
Somehow, I thought you might say that...but it still must have been fun.
My first red was barely legal, when the slot started at 16 inches (a while ago in Louisiana). Even that was mighty fun.
My brother caught a big bull once...lotsa meat on them big reds...
Actually, He condemned the Pharisees for following the letter of the law and ignoring the spirit. Now the law exists to protect innocent human life, not to murder it. Which is why those worried about whether intervention on the part of Jeb Bush is "legal" or not are Pharisees.
We could play this game for a long time, but it's irrelevant to the situation at hand, isn't it?
No, it's highly relevant. If following the much-touted "Rule Of Law" results in the murder of an innocent, then, frankly, to hell with it. If this is what "following the Constitution" means, then to hell with that, too. And if government has become, rather than the protector of the rights of men, the very instrument by which they are taken away, well, read the Declaration of Independence to find what should happen next.
Would that those smilies could hit Judge Greer on the nose.
hehe
