The spouse makes the decision according to the law, not the girlfriend. And I might add .. a husband that could not seem to honor his wedding vows

Hospitals are supposed to care for people not get involved in killing them! George Felos seems to have a killing machine organized in the state of Florida. I don't think I want to visit that state any time soon.

I was hoping that the case would be reposted. It was very interesting, and I was wondering why it hadn't been sighted as precedent. Because the death squad is adept at distracting attention from the real issues. In the legal sense, the legal issue is the sufficiency of evidence, and the quality and imparitiality of Greer's court. Then there is the ethical issue of using starvation to carry out a patient's stated suicide wish (assuming they left a suicide wish).

Is adultery still a crime on the Florida law books? Isn't there some way to get this Michael Schiavo character on the defensive?

We must change these laws. What good does it do? Judges just ignore them and make up new ones as they go, don't they?

If Terri's case is to have any impact, that impact must come from legislation, carefully considered. A mob will not effect any change, other than to harden the hearts of those who must make the laws that affect these end of life decisions. You are seriously wasting your time with this crowd. The hordes of Fair Weather Federalists have come pouring out of the woodwork. Oddly enough, everybody around here thought that federal intervention in Judge Moore's Ten Commandments case was outrageous, and that state courts should be allowed to do whatever they want.

I like it because it was the appellation of choice of Uncle Adolf, obviously a moral mentor to this monster Greer.

Correction: Michael Schiavo needs to explain to the world how it is that another woman could give birth to two of his children and he could still maintain the moral ground to represent Terry Schindler/Schiavo as her husband. There are two protest signs outside of the hospice where Terri is housed. One reads:
"Adulterer's should not be allowed to have custody of their spouse" and:
"Bush send in the FBI and CIA. We have a CRIME SCENE here."

People who are moreally asleep never really like being stirred. That's to be expected. So is it more effective for Randall Terry to stir the pot and make his moral point to us sinners or is more important for him to convince us to give Terri a chance?

Your lawyer will have a copy on file, just as he/she would your will.

You are right.
This is exactly what has been happening in the federal and state governments in our country foe the last fifty years and that is the take over of our government by activists judges.
They make law from the bench which only our legislative branch is supposed to do. then they set about enforcing their law by ordering police action that is solely the prerogative of the Executive Branch.
When one person or branch has the power to make, interpret, and enforce law without any accountability from the people or their representatives you have a dictatorship.

It appears that he is going to get away with it too.
There won't be any autopsy. My understanding is that Judge Greer has already authorized Schiavo's wishes for her immediate cremation.
I'm sure you've seen this, but I'll post it so that others might as well:
"On May 6th, 1990, two months after the mysterious incident that left Terri Schindler Schiavo severely mentally disabled, Dr. Hamilton, an Orthopedic Surgeon, examined her. A year later Terri was demonstrating painful reactions to physical therapy treatment, so on March 5, 1991, the Mediplex therapist director ordered a bone scan.
This bone scan revealed a healed broken right femur bone and healed bone fractures in Terri Schindler Schiavos ribs, pelvis, spine and ankle.
Dr. W. Campbell Walker concluded that Terri has a history of trauma and presumed that the other multiple areas of abnormal activity also relate to previous trauma."
A photocopied image of that document can be viewed here:
NOTE, you probably will have to copy and paste it to your browser to get it to open:
