Mod note: Calls for violence will result in suspensions
Michael Schiavo has filed a petition with the Supreme Court asking them to stay out of the case.
Luis, it's no surprise to see you on the wrong side of yet another issue. It's nice to know some things never change, and you still haven't bought a clue. At least you're consistent, I'll give you that.
What all the other judges have had before them are the results of that first trial presided over by Judge Greer. So, they weren't 'new trials' because the only evidence they ever had before them was the evidence gathered by that first trial. Following trials were to decide if the first trial was fair.
I have come to the conclusion that Terri Schiavo will tragically die of malnutrition and dehydration very soon. On the say so of a husband who never mentioned she wanted it this way until seven years after the accident and two years into a relationship with a woman with whom he had a child (at that time, now they have two). If she were my daughter I would also be moving heaven and hell to have her not starved to death.
Yes, and the ACLU which I understands is providing either money or legal services to Michael. The whole thing is a travesty that should have been resolved years ago and politicians should never have gotten involved, especially if they are just going to raise false hopes and campaign finances.

Now I'm focusing on President Bush. I told the Republican Party (answering machine) I've been a member of the Republican Party for only a couple of years, and I'm not impressed. I told him President Bush should use his executive powers and put Terri in protective custody, or pardon her for the "crime" of inconvenience.
I told them I would not contribute $$ to them any more.
I believe it was 19 before it went to Federal Appeals Court. That would put the number to 40, 19 originally plus 12 at Appeals Court and nine at SCOTUS. (Unless the earlier Federal appeals were included in the 19)
The court of final appeals will go this way:
31When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. 32All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34Then the King will say to those on his right, Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
37Then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?
40The King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.
41Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.
44They also will answer, Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?
45He will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.
46Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.
"Another"? Who was the first? Me?
You mean to tell me you're commenting about me behind my back now?
My image of you and your magnificent spine has been totally blown, Weezie. All of my tough guy heros turn out to be frauds.
Tears. Tears.
Everything is not about you doll...get over yourself.
I will note however that you're relating to "spineless weasel" now.
No doubt.
And I will note that you're calling me "doll" now.
I'm blushing over here, Weeze.

Schiavo's cat-scan
Terri Schiavo's life or death are unimportant. There is only one important question, whether Terri had a relationship with the living God. Without that life is meaningless, with it death is meaningless.
I just heard Judge Moore on Sean's and he said the rule of law is the CONSTITUTION. The Constitution does not allow us to murder.
So the president must defend the constitution.
Mark Levin was also just on Sean's and said that the 14th amendment says that states can't violate life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We should all get Mark Levin's book: "Men in Black."
Next Judge Bork will be on Sean's.

You want center stage Toy Boy?
Let's do it then.
In Elian's case, I opposed Federal intervention in a State matter. In this case I oppose Federal intervention in a State case.
In Elian's case, the Feds painted a custody case for the hoi polloi (the boy belongs with his father) while attacking it as an immigration issue.
I was against Federal intervention in a State case as I am now, and I stood by law as written (Cuban Adjustment Act) as I stand by the law and the system now.
You're right...I am consistent.
I am a conservative, and you're not.
Babe seemed somehow inappropriate.
Let the law be upheld, even though the innocent be killed.
They said that in Nazi Germany too.
BWAHAHAHAHA
The only thing you are is delusional. Did Willy phone in that reply for you so you could type it up? lol
Filing at SCOTUS was a waste of time.
On the plus side, I do think Greer's order attempting to restrain the DCF was out of bounds. I don't hold out much hope that DCF would accomplish anything, even in the absence of such an order, but there is that.
Gibbs needs to get his act together, Evidently he has done so. There are two legs of this three legged stool that are grounds for overturning Greer. His "expert" testimony on PVS is garbage and there is now conflcting testimony from a disinterested neurologist who consults for DCF.
And second, Greer erred bigtime when he disregarded testimony as to Terri Schiavos state of mind vis a vis Karen Ann Quinlan. He disregarded that testimony because he stated, in a particularly snide manner btw, that Karen Ann Quinlan had died in 1976. Her parents disconnected her life support in 1985.
If she was a criminal, that alone would be enough for a new trial.
What is so hard to understand about feeding the hungry and giving drink to the thirsty? Those are not complex verses.
Unless of course you don't want to listen to what God is saying.
