Clearwater, Florida - Judge George Greer admits there was an error in fact in the 2000 trial that established Terri Schiavo;s "right to die."When a family friend claimed a 19-year-old Terri was upset that right to die icon Karen Ann Quinlan's parents removed her from life support, the Judge discounted the testimony, reportedly because the Judge said Quinlan died in 1976.
Quinlan was taken off life support in 1976, but died in 1985. A technical error, yes. But Wednesday afternoon, Judge Greer ruled it was not enough to affect the outcome of the 2000 lawsuit that held Terri would not want to be kept alive with severe brain damage.

Don't worry about Fox, they are not on our side in this. I can't watch them, they are unwatchable. I had to stop watching them before the election too. That's not good, I can only watch them when nothing big is going on? It's unbelievable to me.
One reason is the pleadings by the incompetent attorneys went after Judge Greer and how he handled everything instead of bringing new evidence and affidavits to the Court from all I heard. One local attorney and a whole group here on FR then said the District Judge wrote the lawyers a roadmap to use to appeal but her lawyers didn't follow it and ended up going after Greer again. Even when they had a chance to appeal to the full 11th Circuit, they took over 10 hours and didn't follow the roadmap of the district judge or the dissenting judge of the 11th. Does that tell you something?
These lawyers have plenty of time to be on TV but even Steve Centani (sp) from Fox last night said there are errors in the appeal to the SCOTUS.
Then they have Randall Terry lobbying State Senators -- that guy would be enough to turn me off if I was on the fence and I have to wonder about the one vote they were sure they had. Doesn't excuse the Senators for not voting for Life but this man is ONLY about face time and in your face IMHO!
Something in Florida law required a 24-hour notice to the guardian -- someone on one of the threads found it late last night.
re: A judge has blocked DCF from doing that today.
Not just "a" judge, but "the" judge. None other than Judge Greer himself. What a travesty.
This husband reminds me of the character in the movie "Sleeping with the Enemy."

I read HINO to mean Human in Name Only. I thought it offensive.
Apparently he's too cowardly to 'err on the side of life.'
Well .. if Terri's life is to have real meaning .. it has brought to the public's attention - the courts are out of control - where were the lawyers with expertise volunteering their time to assist this family to save their daughter.
The lawyers were helping the husbank kill his wife.
So .. my conclusion is this - this has been a HUGE looser for the democrats - the courts and the lawyers.
The only problem I see - is there enough collective will in this country TO DEMAND OUR LEGISLATORS CHANGE THESE LAWS TO PROTECT AGAINST A HUSBAND BEING ABLE TO KILL AN INNOCENT - NON-DISEASED WIFE ..??
And then .. are there enough legislators to take up the challenge - regardless of the constant hammering by the left ..??
My real fear - GOD's judgement against America for her choice of death.
Well .. I make it more personal than that. Bridgette and Rick Fullbalm (sp?) were interviewing Terri's brother - and they were asking all the right questions.
He brought out so many things that FOX had not talked about since this thing began. I wondered if this was allowed because they think it looks like Terri won't make it so now it's safe to allow the Christians to give their opinions.
And then we have this horrible lawyer for the husband who is smearing the latest doctor who says she's not PVS - and claiming - well, he's one of those Christians and he's associated with some of those Christian organizations - and the disgust is dripping from their lips. And .. all the liberal guests are saying the same thing about the new doctor.
BUT NOBODY SAYS - JUDGE GREER WAS APPOINTED BY BILL CLINTON WHO SAID, "I think it's okay to kill people who hurt you".
Well .. one thing is certain. I have plenty of things to do and I guess I'll just let the TV stay off for awhile. If these people want to support death - they can do it without me.
There are so many aspects to this story that it can't be dissected in five minutes. It's a story made-to-order for liberal topic hopping. In fact, I think they use the 5 minute time slice to aid in their misinformation and disinformation campaigns.
Yeah, I hear you.
"Why isn't this big news?"
I cannot understand why it has never been big news as after reading his opinion, it's was so obvious this news was HUGE. Yet I've never heard anything about it on TV or radio - it just totally baffles me as it totally undermines his ruling that these are Terri's wishes.
I know why the Judge ignores it, but why is everyone else? I guess there are just too many agendas flying around to look at the facts.
