I agree 100%! "Terri's Law" was passed by the Florida legislature in special session in October 2003, and it was acknowledged (even by the legislators) that there was almost no chance that it would not be found unconstitutional...but that wasn't the point, really. The point was to save Terri Schiavo's life; to buy time. And it worked.
The Florida legislature then went into its yearly 2.5 month session in March 2004. Had modifying the law in order to forge a permanent and life-sustaining solution for Terri Schiavo been a priority for them (OR Governor Bush), they had a time for deliberate consideration and action during the 2004 regular session. One bill (HB 692) was filed, but it never went anywhere. And although it has been a popular copout to blame that failure on the power of former Senate President King, the fact is that, had it been the will of the legislature (or Governor Bush) to bring that bill to the floor, it would have made it there.
But no. The Florida legislature and Governor Bush did nothing to address this situation legislatively until we were back in crisis mode, with little time to act. It's unconscionable.
Remember when we saw on TV after the capture of Saddam Hussein, the rooms with the torture equipment?? all there to inflict pain? .........well we won't even put ice on a DYING woman's LIPS. How's that for TORTURE GREER!!!!!!!!

Amen, Freepertwo. Lord, feed Terri's body with the Body of Your Son. Give her manna in this awful wilderness. Strengthen her with the Blood of Jesus. Quench her thirst with the Living Water. In the precious Name of our Savior we humbly pray, Amen.
Lord, come quickly to the rescue.
Lord we call on you to let the light of Jesus' face shine so bright that there be no shadow for lies to hide...
We call on you through the blood of your Son, not to forsake those like Terri that still use YOUR LAW and YOUR will in our lives and wish to see our nation give YOU the GLory of the LIFE.
We know YOU are in control, and we will GIVE YOU the GLORY...

Lord, we're praying now. We're falling on our faces before you and praying. Help Lord. Help Terri..keep her body from failing. Keep her from pain and anguish. Keep her organs healthy. In Jesus name.

On this night on which Your Son was betrayed, we pray that Your precious child, Terri, would be betrayed no more. Steel her body to endure this tremendous assault against it. Use our prayers to move the mountains that stand before us. We pray for everything that is taking place in the heavenlies right now on her behalf. Our eyes are lifted to You and we acknowledge You as our Sovereign King. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
