Tonight it is, March 22, 2005, over five days since Theresa Marie Schiavo commenced her ordeal of purposeful and legally sanctioned dehydration and starvation. We await a decision from the three judge panel from Eleventh Judicial Circuit as to her fate, as her family struggles with seeing Terri's physical health deteriorate.
Oh gag. Al Franken is going to be on Scarborough next. I'm going to bed.
People have complained for years about Terri in particular. Medicare is another gov. agency that just doesn't listen.
I wanted to say that Terri fell through the cracks, but she fell through an endless chasm.
:)
It was a corrupt deal setup by Felos, who happened to be the Chairman at the time. Details are here: Medicaid, Medicare Fraud Evident In Schiavo Hospice Certification
They are going to file with the Supremes?? Another long wait to get slapped down??
Why won't Jeb act? Makes no sense!
Geoffrey Feigner (sic). He defended Kevorkian. Joe nailed him.
Deborah Bushnell.
Like I said, killing someone so they can "go to heaven" is a blasphemous concept.
BTW, I've done the same thing as your tagline!!!
He only resigned AFTER it was publicized.
I stuck up for you tonight and I trusted you. I appears that I misjudged you but I won't let it happen again. The other people are here because they care.
I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt...at least for now. I don't know much about Jeb, but I have trusted the President all these years and he's rarely let me down (but don't get me started on immigration...I start to rant!
:-D).
I am NOT watching him. Time to change the channel...see what else is on.
His passion for death is really creepy!
You know, it's not death for Terri that we are afraid of. In fact, if she is going to have her tube replaced only to be starved again somewhere down the road, I pray that the Lord takes her Home to be with Him quickly.
What we ARE in an outrage about is that our "religion" commands us not to kill and not to withhold food and water from one who is hungry and thirsty. I personally feel great shame that a court of law in the country I am a citizen of would ORDER a woman to be forbidden all nutrition and hydration, even by mouth.
Many a person has had their feeding tube removed when they were DYING, but Terri was not dying when her tube was removed last Friday. She was a healthy human being. But the appalling part of this is not only did Greer ORDER her tube to be removed, but he forbade that anyone try to give her nourishment by mouth.
Today when I saw those pictures of the children who were arrested for trying to take Terri some water, I wept. I wept out of shame that I wasn't there doing the same thing. I wept out of shame that I live in a nation where a CHILD is arrested for taking a dying person a drink of water. I wept out of shame that it takes a CHILD to show us what is righteous and just in a nation that has lost sense of the sanctity of human life, and a compassion to bring relief to the suffering.
If you think it's death for Terri that we are afraid of, you are so wrong. There are far worse things to be afraid of, and if you aren't yet aware of them, I suggest you go out and take a walk tonight and think long and hard about what is right and what is wrong about what we are doing to Terri as a nation.
"My suggestion: Please ignore those who are here to cause dissension and trouble. Don't respond. This has been a public service announcement."
Well worth repeating.
I hope you haven't done it every day like me...:-)
Does anyone know when Felos and Schiavo first met?
