Tonight it is, March 22, 2005, over five days since Theresa Marie Schiavo commenced her ordeal of purposeful and legally sanctioned dehydration and starvation. We await a decision from the three judge panel from Eleventh Judicial Circuit as to her fate, as her family struggles with seeing Terri's physical health deteriorate.

Father or Sister: "Absolutely not. ONE judge found Terri had that, 3 appellate judges upheld it. They are fabricated, she would never in a million years want not be starved to death"
Dad: "33 doctors in front of Greer but Greer would not accept that as credible. 3 doctors specifically say that PVS, but many others disagree.

That is like the kimatazi pilot always returning for another flight... How do you survive in a Hospice Hospital for five years? Talk about Holy Intervention.
She was moved there in secrecy, no notification, not even to the court until after it was done.
No proper certification, and has been there for 5 years.
It is well known that hospices are ONLY for people terminally ill and dying in 6 months or less.
Why is Medicaid paying for this? Why don't they come back and ask that she be moved back to a facility that cares for people that are not dying. Makes no sense to me. If the Government is paying for her then can't they say what happens to her?

Not exactly. The way I read it, it's saying that because Terri is being given morphine for pain and other pain medications monthly (for her menses) that she is obviously aware of pain and is pained and therefore, is unlikely to be PVS, which bars any reason for legally removing her feeding tube in the first place. The morphine also will inhibit respiration, so it would even further the point that she is unnecessarily receiving it, putting her in further danger of succumbing.

I'm new here. Are the Terri threads the only threads here on FreeRepublic??
I thought it was a big place, but apparently it is very small, if those who are against Terri have no other place to post.
I came here from Court TV message boards. The people there mostly were totally against Terri. I loved it here because I could talk with people who support Terri.
Oh well.
Perhaps I've just read and educated myself too much with regard to this issue, but I just don't see how any thinking person could NOT see the similarities.
Before anyone jumps on me, no -- there are no death camps here. But the T4 program's beginnings and what is beginning to happen here in America are startlingly similar. That just cannot be denied.
This coming from a Cherokee/Irish/German whose heroes include Corrie ten Boom, Brother Andrew, and Joni Erickson Tada. If you don't know who these people are, google them. You may end up with a new hero.
