Tonight it is, March 22, 2005, over five days since Theresa Marie Schiavo commenced her ordeal of purposeful and legally sanctioned dehydration and starvation. We await a decision from the three judge panel from Eleventh Judicial Circuit as to her fate, as her family struggles with seeing Terri's physical health deteriorate.

The Florida Senate is meeting today at 1pm to reconsider the Terri bill. Please call all the state senators that need their minds changed!!! I just called and got through to one office as the others were all busy, which is good cause that means they are being flooded with calls about Terri! Don't give up y'all, keep those calls going and pray like you have never prayed before!

Amen!!! Hi Halls, I woke up too and was really devastated.

We all have to really concentrate on letting God take the reins.

We don't know what his will is in this matter but Terri
is here for a reason. God has a purpose for her whether it be to fight for someone who can't fight for herself, to bring a sense of order or morality to what is happening to this country.

God knows that we are fighting for her, and I am sorry for not having come on board a way long time ago.

Whatever reason, Terri is valuable, and our Lord has kept her with us for 15 years for a reason.

This is Holy Week. This is the time of reflection and true miracles.

I don't know yet what God has in mind, and would not presume to guess but one thing I know for sure...

WE MUST ACCEPT GOD'S WILL WHATEVER HAPPENS. WE MUST NOT DESPAIR EVEN FOR TERRI IF WE ARE NOT ABLE TO SAVE HER. GOD KNOWS OUR PAIN, HER PAIN, THE PARENTS, AND THE EVIL, ROTTEN MOTIVATION OF OTHERS.

Look at it this way...until now, the U.S. Legislature had NOT idea the consequences of activist judges in the country making it up as they go along. Now they do...now the President knows what it is like for a Federal Judge to take the law he just signed and ignore it!!!!!

This is shaking things up.

But, I have to ask God in his infinite power and love and mercy to please help Terri and let her stay with us...she is a most valuable soul and so many love her that will probably never meet her...this fact alone is God working with ALL of us!

Please God, let Terri stay. She has been with us this long, let us have the joy of watching her get the medical treatment she deserve as she would be a powerful disciple, spreading your word and works!!!!!

So Judge Greer denied a motion for a court-ordered swallowing study?

I have a 6-year-old Black Lab and an 11-month-old Yellow Lab. The "little dog", all 90 pounds of him, is the one going to dog school. Took him to puppy school last summer, then basic obedience this winter. He is now repeating the basic obedience class because, like all Labs, he just wants to play.

I know how you feel about not wanting to come back after you've been away for a while. For the longest time, I couldn't bring myself to read FR threads on the topic or listen to/watch news stories about it because it is just too upsetting to me. In the past week, however, I have felt compelled to do all that I can and keep Terri in my thoughts and prayers as much as possible. I feel like I've gotten to know a lot of you from this thread. It's sad that it's taken such a tragedy to bring us all together like this, but there's always something good to come out of the bad things that happen to us, and I think that one of God's purposes for Terri is to bring our community together to work for change.

Watching the nurse that observed the Shiavo situation firsthand, and her testimony on HANNITY & COLMES last night, really drove home the fact that Terri has NOT been served by our legal system.

One of the tragedies in this whole case is that EVERY SINGLE PETITION, from requesting any sort of relief or tests, from to divorce to the admission of testimony, is decided by Judge "I Am God" Greer, who has on every single issue ruled FOR Michael and AGAINST Terri (some guardian, huh?). From what I read yesterday, I think the Schindlers have had a petition on file before Greer's court for over two years requesting divorce for Terri based on Michael's adultery, but Greer has yet to act on the petition. And they can't appeal until he acts. It's an enormous Catch-22 in which they're entangled.

This is another area of Florida law which needs to be changed, the notion that one single judge has lone powers of determining what is or is not fact, what is or is not admissable, and what is or is not acted upon, even with overwhelming evidence of misconduct. (He's his own judge in that instance, too. Greer the Almighty gets to decide if complaints against his bias, which must be filed with him, have any merit.)

I am praying without ceasing for Terri, AND for President Bush.......my brother in Christ.........and his brother Jeb, that there will be something they can legally do to save Terri.

Please........PLEASE, can these threads be kept to saving Terri, and not belittling the Bush's? You may believe there is something else they could do, but to say they are at fault for this situation is, IMO, irresponsible. Their intervention in this single case is unprecedented.

God is Sovereign, He is GOOD, and He is FAITHFUL.

Dearest Lord, wrap Your arms of love around Your child, Terri, and ease her pain, and give her comfort. Bless and give strength to each member of the Schindler family, and grant them the peace in knowing You are with them. Raise up those who can intervene in this travesty and save this dear woman's life. Use this situation, regardless of its outcome, to awaken the American people to the evil that dwells among us, in our courts, and in our halls of medicine, that allows the disabled to be wantonly murdered because they are an inconvenince. Forgive us our sins, Father, and heal this land! But in all things, O LORD, we will give YOU the glory!
