Carla Iyer's deposition says Terri swallowed.
Please show me the document that supports your contention.
I'm prone to believing a deposition over an anonymous Website posting.

I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink ... I was sick and you looked after me ....
I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.

Schiavo is an adulterous scumbag who deserves a great deal worse than he's getting, which is marriage to a skank who thought nothing of helping him commit adultery and bearing him two bastards. That may be true, but it's my understanding that under Florida law, he is her legal guardian.

It could be anyone, any country.
We have no right to discuss human rights with any country.
Having 6 year old sew soccer balls is more humane than this.

I agree with you. The libs would be outraged if someone was arrested for bringing water to cop killer Wesley Cook.

IIRC, Terri's legal guardian is George Greer.
Judge George Greer.
Yes, that Judge Greer.
Myself, I'd call it a conflict of interest large enough to dwarf Michael Moore, but that's just me.

Yeah, let's you and I get together and crash a funeral or two and make a bunch of jokes about people in attendance as well as the deceased. 1) Ain't nobody dead yet.
2) I'm not making fun of Terri or her family.

God bless this woman. She is acting in Jesus' name.
For Michael Schiavo, here are the words of the Gospel:
41 Then he shall say to them also that shall be on his left hand: Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry, and you gave me not to eat: I was thirsty, and you gave me not to drink.

Oh please, if I see that perjurist document once, I've seen it a hundred times.
Took her SIX YEARS to come forward with those accusations.
Her credibility is shot to pieces.

What law? If there's a law against feeding a human being on the books, I'm not aware of it. Please cite statute and source. 1. The court order removing the tube from Terri?
2. Interfering with hospice procudure/equipment?
3. Trespassing?

The deputies have been COMISSIONED to follow every order given, haven't they?

that's a little like saying, "in the long run, we're all dead."
very bad, dead, lifeless logic.

Mrs. Don-o Here
I know this brave, gutsy lady Lana Jacobs. She is indeed a grandmother, also the mother of two disabled daughters. She and her husband and kids are from the St. Francis Catholic Worker house in Columbia, MO, a place where they try to LIVE what Jesus said in Matthew 25: you know, you encounter the person who is hungry, thirst, naked, sick, in prison, and you do--- what? And then Jesus says, "Whatsoever you do to the least of my brethren, you do unto Me."
Freepers, send her a bit of support (she'll have legal expenses):

As for the "illegality" of her action, I dispute the idea that it is illegal. Every state makes provision for what is called a "necessity" defense, based on the fact that you were doing something urgent to save somebody's life (or even to save a valuable piece of property, or a pet, by the way!)
For instance: say there's a burning house on property that's posted "No Trespassing." You see a person at a 2nd floor window. You grab a neighbor's ladder, run onto the property, climb up, break a window, grab the person, save their life.
You would not be arrested --- let alone prosecuted --- let alone convicted, for (1) "theft" of the ladder (2) "trespassing" (3) "breaking and entering" --- because you could show that your purpose was to rescue someone in danger of death.

Myself, I'd call it a conflict of interest large enough to dwarf Michael Moore, but that's just me. How so? I'm guessing (and correct me if I'm wrong) that he became her guardian as part of the legal proceedings. What kind of conflict does this judge have?
