I agree. I read on another site that President Bush said this afternoon that he has done all that can for Terri. So, if accurate, no Executive Order. What a shame.

The Pope himself will in the near future likely need some type of life support or feeding tube to keep him alive. Than what?

Lucky Pope has no spouse, so he will probably get to live.

WC: In contrast, the judge found that both the husband and the parents had a monetary interest in the outcome of the case. That is why, in my opinion, he gave so much weight to the testimony of Scott and Joan.

BW: Except that the parents had a monetary interest so they could use the money to care for their daughter and the HINO had a monetary interest to use the money to OFF Terri and keep the remainder for his new life.

As in most of real life, it isn't quite that easy. The parents were doing a little money grubbing of their own. This was not Terri's trust fund (the $700,000 from the settlement), that was hers and always hers no matter as long as she is alive.

The dispute was over whether they got $150K of the $300K which Michael got for loss of consortium. They claimed that he had promised it to them. That's what caused them to stop speaking.

They are not pure as the driven snow.

BUT the real potential conflict of interest arose by their desire to get Michael out of the picture so they could inherit the trust fund from Terri as her heirs at law. The court said,

The record before this court discloses that should Mr. and Mrs. Schindler prevail, their stated hope is that Mr. Schiavo would divorce their daughter, get on with his life, they would be appointed guardians of Terri Schiavo and become her heirs at law. They have even encouraged him to 'get on with his life.' Therefore neither side is exempt from finger pointing as to possible conflicts of interest in this case.

Amen. It should be apparent that the parents had the same interest the husband did, no more, no less.

By passivity I refer to inaction outside of prayer. Calls, E-mails, posts, Legislative action, appeals for federal intervention etc.

And, yes, I did imply passivity, but it wasn't intended towards you but arguments in general I've heard. I have no idea what you have done in regard to this matter and should have clarified, but as you say, passions are running high and I'm not as calm as otherwise might be as her time is running out.

Robert Wexler (Democrat of FL) fights for horses to live
and for Terri to die

H.R. 587 Co-Sponsors (108th Congress) - The Fund for Horses

Maybe the horses want to die, Rep. Wexler. Ask their mates.

Whatever the reason. They did not examine her.

Michael is going to cremate Terri, against the wishes of her parents, and have her remains buried as FAR AWAY FROM HER PARENTS HOME as he can get, just to make it difficult for them to visit her grave, AND TO TWIST THE KNIFE.

OH, PUHLEEESE! He's going to bury her in Pennsylvania where she grew up and where they were married.

The reason is that Terri's parents could sue the Hospice.

Really? How? They have no proof. (Judge GREER authorized and allowed PREPAYMENT out of TERRI's REHAB MONEY, Terri's CREMATION, so there will be no EVIDENCE to be found from an autopsy).

They are not allowed in to see Terri, except by Michael's permission, and the Hospice staff that is still there, has already been ordered to keep quiet.

Actually, the Pope himself will probably not live a lot longer. While the Vatican can use life-extending measures, they may also choose not to do so, beyond a reasonable point.

The RCC is not opposed to removal of extraordinary life support. I'm quite sure that the Pope will have made his wishes known to those who will make the decisions if he is incapable.

If you think that the Pope will be maintained on artificial life support once it is clear that he cannot recover, you're mistaken.

No, greer signed an order on request from HINO to IMMEDIATELY CREMATE HER WHEN SHE DIES EVEN THOUGH FLORIDA LAW SAYS YOU HAVE TO WAIT 48 HOURS!

If I were the parents I would fight for the money too because I wouldn't want it in the hands of that HINO. That's blood money!

Ha! Maybe that's why they have the celibacy rule.

The Vatican is also a separate country. This means Italian laws do not apply. So the Pope will be safe, at least for now, from the modern day Nazis.

The difference is that the Pope wouldn't recover because he would be 110 years old, while Terri is only 41.

Maybe their lawyer could look into it. However, I doubt it.
