I think at this point, only the Florida National Guard sent in under Governor Bush's orders, or perhaps US Marshall's sent in at the President's orders, can do anything to stop the clock.

Neither thing will take place.

Most doctors I know would be very, very hesitant to make statements about a patient they had not examined personally

I've noticed that some of the doctors in the Senate and House are careful about what they say and don't say. But some of them have expressed their opinions very clearly and very bravely.

On one program the other night, the host was interviewing two Congresscritters.

The anti-Terri guest said something to this effect. "We aren't doctors, and we aren't knowledgeable enough to form an opinion about Terri."

The pro-Terri guest had his turn and said something to the effect of, "I have practiced medicine for XX years and I think Terri should have been treated better."

Finally .. real men who are brave enough to stick out their necks for a real human in distress.

Meanwhile, Dianne Feinsteirn is busily trying to make sure American horsemeat doesn't get fed to foreigners and Barney Frank and Robert Wexler have co-sponsored a similar bill in the House.

They are referring, I believe, to the position of guardian ad litem. This gentleman was fire after complaining that MS was "unreasonable" -- and Greer took over the position.

Sensebrenner was right. The House bill he wanted would not have allowed the Judge to esentially stand on Terri's throat while drinking a nice Chardonnay and listening to Wagner's die Valkeie.

I read on another site that President Bush said this afternoon that he has done all that can for Terri. So, if accurate, no Executive Order. What a shame.

When did this physician examine Terri? I find it unusual that a physician would make any statement about an individual's health without an examination. I certainly expect my physician to examine me before forming an opinion.

Why does anyone think they own the only correct facts in this case?

It's called rationalization. Rush Limbaugh touched upon it in his radio program.

Many people in this country have already had one instance of a loved one on their death bed, and being left to decide WHEN TO PULL THE PLUG.

If The case with TERRI is put to a stop, then those people might be left UNCOMFORTABLE with their decision. Can't have that. THERE'S MONEY TO BE MADE IN DEATH. CAN'T GET IN THE WAY OF MONEY. We don't want people to go 'softie' on us, otherwise we can't collect MEDICARE/MEDICAID for dumping these folks into a RAT-DEN(Suncoast Hospice), and waiting until they die from lack of any medical treatment.

Your statements as to Terri not speaking are A LIE unless you have personal knowledge about this case and are willing to swear an affidavit to it. There is an affidavit by a nurse who took care of Terri who stated that Terri was speaking clear and distinct words. She had problems with pronouncing "n".

Any 'money to be made in death' is dwarfed by the money to be made by keeping people alive against their wishes.

The doctor spent a total of ten hours with her. Considerably longer, I note, than the court appointed ones who proclaimed her PVS in less than half an hour and one hour respectively.

Can you document it to forward to Fox, Rush, Ingraham?

It would be a waste of time. They already have access to the same information sources I do. They don't WANT the information.

wonder if the starvation of Terri could be deemed improper medical treatment for a conscious patient

Judge GREER declared TERRI was NOT CONSCIOUS. (because Felos, Michael, and their doctors told him so)

What the pope should do is BAN Michael from ANY Catholic church and certainly NOT allow this man to marry there after he murdered his wife through the legal system.

Code of Canon Law - Title VII. Marriage

Chapter II. Diriment Impediments in General

Can. 1078

§1. The local ordinary can dispense his own subjects residing anywhere and all actually present in his own territory from all impediments of ecclesiastical law except those whose dispensation is reserved to the Apostolic See.

§2. Impediments whose dispensation is reserved to the Apostolic See are:

1/ the impediment arising from sacred orders or from a public perpetual vow of chastity in a religious institute of pontifical right;

2/ the impediment of crime mentioned in can. 1090.

Code of Canon Law - Title VII. Marriage

Chapter III. Specific Diriment Impediments

Can. 1090

§1. One who, with a view to entering marriage with a particular person, has killed that person's spouse, or his or her own spouse, invalidly attempts this marriage.

§2. They also invalidly attempt marriage with each other who, by mutual physical or moral action, brought about the death of either's spouse.

His bill would have never passed. The Republicans are spineless. Peggy Noonan is right when she stated in her column that the Republicans will pay a political price if Terri dies.

"Many people in this country have already had one instance of a loved one on their death bed, and being left to decide WHEN TO PULL THE PLUG."

That's very true, and a wrenching decision it is, too. One of the reasons that poll numbers in this case swing to the side that says that the feeding tube should not be replaced is that so many people have had to make such decisions.

I haven't, but my parents have, as has my former wife's father. Difficult as those decisions were, they managed to make them and allow the suffering to end.

People who have been in that situation are not going to simply say that Terri should live, no matter what.

It is a small minority in this country that believes that life should be extended indefinitely, no matter what the situation. A very small minority.

Terri's case is in the public eye, but there are thousands of such decisions being made this very day, in hospitals and hospices all over this nation.

They're not in court. They're just simple people making what they think is the best decision for a family member. You might disagree with some of their decisions, but that's not your right. You do not get to decide for others what will be done for their relatives and loved ones.

This case is an ugly one, but it's not that unusual. There are disputes over these cases in families all over the nation, and they happen every day. It is the next of kin who decides. The next of kin. That's a spouse first, adult children second, and parents third.

Every day these decisions are made by people who are losing a family member. You don't get to make those decisions...the next of kin does.

I have read that MS will have her creamated as soon as she dies without any memorial service or burial.

True. JUDGE GREER AUTHORIZED PREPAYMENT for CREMATION out of Terri's CARE/REHAB FUNDS. Isn't that just BEAUTIFUL IRONY?

Judge GREER doesn't want any autopsy either.

Also, her remains will be buried AS FAR AWAY FROM HER PARENTS HOME to make it inconvenient for them to visit her grave, BECAUSE HE ENJOYS TWISTING THE KNIFE HE HAS IN THEIR BACK.
