It's hard to laugh the past few days! It's really unbelievable what's happening.

That was food and water fall under extraordinary treatment according to an evil Florida law, and by ruling Terri didn't want any extraordinary treatment if she was incapacitated, they make it difficult for any intervention.

Again, really evil.

If Jeb Bush declares that he believes putting ice on Terri's tongue would benefit her, in what way can Greer's order forbidding it be considered valid to prevent it?

To parphrase Stalin... "How many divisions does Greer have?"

He wants to talk to "Hammesfahr."

The bullies from hell finally figured out who the agent from God is who caused them all this trouble. IMO

Well, I hope you didn't tell the Governor it came from me. I've been dumping on him all day long. ;)

BTW when do we start another thread? This one's gotten long, no?

"Sun said "Laura Ingraham said today that 35,000 people in this country have feeding tubes."

Think of what's behind this: A pro-euthanasia movement pulling strings and pushing hard.

If Terri dies this sets court precedent. People wanting to remove feeding tubes from elderly people will go to judges in droves and do it.

And our poor president and legislature will just sit back and cry wringing their hands helplessly."

I wish the Republicans would fight as hard for life, as the liberal Dems do for death.

Well, it looks like we will have waisted another day Terri if these judges at the 11th don't issue their ruling! My word, why does it take so long? I know they need to go through Whittemore's ruling, the law of the case, but how long does it take? If they wait till tomorrow morning I will be furious! She can't go another night! She needs food.

And who here thinks the 11th will come through for Terri? I'm so scared! Apparently the DOJ has filed the appeal jointly with the Shindlers and the DOJ has told the 11th that Whittemore did not rule the way the law De Novo was written. I hope they see that! I wish we knew which judges where hearing the case and if they are conservative/liberal. The chances of them being conservative is better than them being a liberal, but still scares the hell out of me!

How would ice chips on the tongue be anything but ordinary pallative care, though?

Actually, given that the law forbids the removal of pallative care, I can't quite figure how food and water, for someone who would otherwise suffer starvation/dehydration, would not be pallative?

Scoop said: "Savage says that the " Whole country is being held hostage" by this Judge and his minions!!!!!!!

AND THAT'S THE TRUTH!!! How can a county court judge take the whole country hostage?????"

It's true!!

The answer?

I'm sorry to say this because it's not what many want to hear:

Right now Gov. Jeb Bush and also his brother the president are allowing it.

Both have within their constitutional power the right to intervene. Jeb could take Terri into protective custody, but he is not. His brother could write an executive order to protect her interests and he is not.

This fact scares me more than anything. It's one thing to know the judiciary is full of scumbags. It's another to realize that the governor and the president both are allowing the scumbags full reign.

I know what you mean. I've been just sick to my stomach over what's happening with Terri for so long now. This past weekend was just horrible! They took out her tube Friday, my mother-in-law (who's like my own mom) couldn't breathe and had to be rushed to the ER Saturday, Saturday night I stayed up all night waiting to hear news on Terri's law, stayed up all morning Sunday praying that they would go in and get her out, then drove three hours to take my 17 year old to the airport so he could fly to Denmark without me, then three hours home upset because I couldn't even stay with him at the airport.

Now all I can think of is jumping in my car and driving to Florida, picking up as many people as I can on the way, and storming the hospice to save her.

Halls said: "Than I don't understand why Jeb has not taken Terri to protective custody."

Neither does Randall Terry in Florida. No one understands.

Randall Terry said on Hannity that Jeb is talking with Florida senators which is great. But let's face it: the legislative body is slow, slow, slow.

Jeb could get things done much faster. Yet he isn't acting.

Don't know if this has been posted or not-----(Highlighting mine)

Take a look at the info on this blog, and ping it around - CodeBlueBlog

This is a radiologist's opinion of Terri's CT scan:

The worrisome, no alarming thing, for me, was that I heard a bioethicist and several important figures on the major media describe Terri's brain as MUCH WORSE. One "expert" said that she had a "bag of water" in her head. Several experts described her as a "brain stem preparation"

These statements are wholly inaccurate. This is an atrophied brain, yes, but there is cortex remaining, and where there's cortex (?life) there's hope.

If you starve this woman to death it would be, in my professional and experienced medical opinion, the equivalent of starving to death a 75-85 year old person. I would take that to the witness stand.

"New Nurse Comes Forward"

Yet more evidence and a brand new complaint that Jeb Bush can consider as grounds to remove Terri from hospice. Apparently it is also one more civil rights violation. Nurse fired for not swearing an oath against the President? Did I hear that right?

I think Jeb has far too much forbearance to be governor. He is wrenching the framework of the government by being such a creampuff with the judiciary. Setting bad precedent.
