I said earlier that because he was named in the suit, he could use that as his excuse for being there...

Did I read that a woman in a wheelchair wasn't allowed in? But Greer was allowed in...discrimation?

I agree. God only knows what this judge is thinking.

This judge does not need to go into deep thought about this case. If he would want the case, he should say so quick. If he don't want it would just go to the 11th DCA I believe immediately. The 11th already has the paperwork. The absolute worse thing that can happen is that he sits on it. Which it appears he is doing.

That's a good question! Greer has never ruled on the motion to remove MS as guardian but Greer does what he wants. I don't know if they have any limit , I'm no expert at all in this area.

When I found out at 5:30 a.m. CST today that the Tampa Democrat judge did not immediately re-insert the tube, I knew she was doomed. I suspected that this clintoid is part of the death culture of Tampa-St. Petersburg. I predicted that George W. Greer and this clintoid had been in telephone contact this morning. Maybe they were and maybe not, but Greer was in the courtroom. I wonder what business Greer had to cancel in probate court to be there.

See, Dennis J. Hastert (a non-lawyer), Tom DeLay (a non-lawyer), and Bill Frist (a non-lawyer) were outmaneuvered by the liberal Democrat lawyers and judges. There was a giant loophole in the law, and the Democrats have marched through it to victory again.

Is there a time limit on how long he can sit on this?

No.

It is late, I do not believe there will be a ruling tonight from this Judge. It is not a priority to him, he does not care. He will likely rule tomorrow morning at some point and when he does I suspect now that it will not go in Terri's favor. I had said before yes, but am now feeling doubts. Tomorrow will be 4 days and counting. If the Whittimore Judge doesn't issue his ruling in enough time tomorrow for it to be appealed to Atlanta it will be to late for Terri. There will be no response tonight from this judge, i just know it!

Freepers, I think there is reason to think this judge may order Terri's tube restored. If this judge knows he is going to rule against Terri, he perhaps wouldn't wait THIS long to do so, because people who are disappointed in his decision will also be able to point out that he dragged his feet. He has slowed things down enough already that, if he were going to go for the other side, he could say so TODAY and still make them very happy. PERHAPS this judge is actually leaning towards granting the reinsertion, but wants to placate (in advance) the forces of darkness by taking his time to do so. I think it's a positive that Greer appeared in the courtroom, because if Greer thought the fix was in with this judge, he wouldn't need to appear in person, which has the downside of highlighting his connection to this judge. Seems to me that Greer is nervous this judge will rule FOR Terri. Anyone get what I'm saying?

Why can't the stalling be a reason for an emergency appeal?

A woman in a wheelchair wasn't allowed in a federal court? To hear whether a disabled woman should be put to death?

I get what your saying, but I still have doubts. I believed earlier like you, but now not so sure.

Doesn't look like he is limited so far. This is exactly what the Congress believed that no Federal judge would be so irresponsible to do. He is doing it. Gibbs, the Schindlers, everyone else as well were believing he would rehydrate her immediately. They even told Terri herself that it was about to happen. Many many hours ago.

Due process rights? How about her not being allowed an attorney ad litum?

Or booting one off for saying he wouldn't support removal of a feeding tube under any circumstances? Guess what--that's the guardian ad litem's job in a case like this: to make the guardian prove him wrong.

I don't think your reasoning is correct. I think he hopes Terri dies before he says "no re-insertion." There seems to me to be no likelihood that he will side with Terri.

I get ya and agree. And that's one of the reasons that I believe Freepers should not call him. We will not sway him but may just Pi$$ him off.

According to Catholic teaching, despair is a sin against the Holy Spirit, which Mark 3:28-29 states is an eternal, unforgiveable sin.

I'm not trying to ignite a scriptural debate with you on this thread; simply posting this just for your information.

My heart is breaking for this young woman and I will gently and graciously do what I think the Lord would have me do.

I don't want to offend anyone, but I got that number off of here. Somewhere.
It was posted by someone else.
So I'm not the only one that has called.

I left my name and phone # and a message.

Thank you for your concern.

Well, maybe Gibbs should ask this judge to step aside or whatever. A judge who doesn't appreciate that irreparable harm will result from delay, isn't smart enough to be a judge.
