Continuation of Terri Schiavo daily March threads. Due to overwhelming participation we reached over 5000 posts in three days time!
That was Randall Terry, not Gibbs, who said she.
ATTENTION: Sean Hannity's Fox News Team has the cd rom of Juan's Writ of Mandamus. I requested that they RESEARCH IT CAREFULLY. They are giving it to Hannity when he arrives tonight.
All: bump to #1841 for Republicans who voted against Terri.
No, as I understand it, these are the Republicans that voted in FLORIDA against the Bill there. Terry Randall says if they can be convinced to come over or change their vote, they can pass the Bill in Florida that would make it illegal to withhold food or water from a individual without a written directive!!!!!
Is this clear now?
Yes.
Sorry, I was away from my pc, but if you haven't caught up yet check:
Basically, the fed. judge has heard from both lawyers but hasn't made any decision yet, may sit on it overnite. Feeding tube not reinserted.
prayers up
Thanks Floriduh...appreciate the updates
I keep thinking about Mary and Martha in the Bible, and how they thought Jesus was too late to save their brother Lazarus. That case, too, seemed impossible, but Jesus delayed for a purpose, and I personally believe that's what's happening right now.
Let's not forget yesterday's miracle: in the morning Terri had a fever and was unresponsive. By evening, the fever was gone. Coincidence? I don't think so!
To God be the glory - great things He has done and will do!
God bless you!
Amen
W could do it. It's not as if he's having to tiptoe around issues in hopes of winning another term. What's he got to lose? Nothing. What's he got to win? A free pass to heaven and graditude from all those on Terri's side.
First, they did not only hope, I heard them say that no federal judge would delay putting the tube in while they deliberated because that is totally against precedent and would be very irresponsible. Well, he is doing exactly that. I called him she because I heard Randall Terry on Sean say that, several times. Thought he would know. Finally, the judge has made several comments already, and it is plain to everyone that he sounds strongly inclined to rule against Terri, but he will not rule but continues to delay and delay. There must be a reason for that. He was even quoted as saying that since Terri survived six days last time this was done, there is no hurry to rule. But her people are reporting that Terri's skin is cracking and everything is drying out. They are very upset and worried.
I don't know. I guess I better look into it.
I thought the Federal Judge's name is James Whittemore.
IMO this is what he gets for asking "May I...?" to these demons in black robes. He is no leader.
Tick...tick...tick...ON...JEB'S...WATCH.
Amen
Think about something....doesn't it seem lately that God has been very dominant in the news...starting with the election (good v.s. evil there) and the Christians coming out to vote for GWB in record numbers...and the Atlanta shooting with Ashley Smith being the devoted servant of Christ...and now with Terri...maybe this is God showing the WORLD...HE is STILL in charge...I believe HE will help Terri.
But there was a request filed by Gibbs for an emergency injunction and restraining order.
I am not the Judge but he said he would retire to his chambers to study the case and I am just waiting for his decision. I hope that he comes back with a decision tonight but we won't know anything until the decision is made.
First of all... exactly how many people responded to the ABC poll? I don't think it was all that many. Remember, 60% of those RESPONDING thought that Terri should die.
Also, I'd like the age demographics for that. Afterall, the youth in this country are told from day 1 that they can decided to end a life in the womb. They can end that life if he or she is an inconvenience... let alone damaged in anyway.
I am not surprised at the response to the poll. I think it very well reflects what we are dealing with in this country. Whether Terri is allowed to live or made to die, her life should serve as a wake up in this country as how we value life. And more especially, how we value the weaker life. I'm not sure I like the answer right now.
