US House of Rep. in an Extraordinary Sunday night Session [Schiavo] (Bush Signs Schiavo bill)
Posted on 03/20/2005 6:03:40 PM PST by FoxPro
This is an unprecedented session. The Congress is meeting to save one persons life (in real time).
The only reason the Democrats are agreeing to this is that they dont want to be known as the party that killed Terri.
This is American history happening before your eyes.

After we have murdered all of those like Terri, which disabled would you choose to go to heaven next?
Ted Kennedy, Robert Byrd, John Kerry, Barry Frank, Mike Moore, George Soros et al demonstrate daily that they have no working brain functions at all. I suggest we cut off their food and water.

"This debate is surreal. It really is unfathomable that there are people arguing on the House floor that an innocent woman should be starved and dehydrated to death." Just what I felt, unbelievable, nightmarish really.
Dittos to that. My husband and I are sitting here in rapt attention, watching this amazing debate on C-SPAN. Absolutely incredible. Prayers to Terri and to her family...

"They are afraid it will set a precedent for someone stopping the killing." I believe that they are more afraid of an activist judge's opinion being overruled.

We need to make a list of every monster now testifying for the death of Terri - and hope that our guys can get Terri her day in court - back on food/water/ get her would be murderer's guardianship suspended, Terri get her therapy and improve enough to say "he did this to me!"
Then we must remind everyone who wanted her to die - who called her a vegetable etc...

Just today. How convenient. And just in time, too. I'll wager he was in favor of letting Terri live, had it not been for that altering dinner conversation. I don't know rather to laugh at the dems. stupidity, or cry for their lost souls.
To: carlr
Beautiful summation of what is going on in this extraordinary session.
^^^^^^
The dems love to quote our system of "checks and balances." But they never acknowledge that judges need a "check" now and then, as well. It is Congress' duty to provide a "check" in this case.

Why the HELL do we have Congress and Senators if they are not to decide issues like life or death.... Actually, they're not supposed to.
The funny thing is, the House was supposed to reflect the passions of the people while the Senate was supposed to be the more insular, above-the-fray body. However, it's the Senate that voted unanimously in support and it's the House that seems in disarray.
Go figure.

The people in the "blue counties" should be hanging their heads in shame tonight. The Democrats are the "Party of Death", and their supporters are ALL enablers...every last one of them.

Kind of wonder why Barney Frank is running the Dem side on the debate. Is this because Jim Moran is already drunk, or what? You remember him from the press conference.
To: got_moab?; OXENinFLA
Afraid not. Okay, I got concession to watch this during commercial breaks.
OXENinFLA thanks for the link and thanks for the response from both of you.
Oh blast. Would be mu luck I stumble back on franks.
To: Wheee The People
I would say that cleaning up our judges is part of the republicans business. This judge Greer is fishy. His rulings on this case are very questionable. What is the harm in having a federal judge look over the facts of this case before making a fatal decision?

There may be medical folks who have already killed a bunch of people with starvation/dehydration, and are worrying about their legal liability.A very valid point.

"There is always the possibility that the fight for the life of Terri embodies something much more than we comprehend with our ~physical~ senses.
Ponder that possibility and then consider the "side" the Dems almost always choose."
That most certainly bares repeating!

IF I recall correctly, the feeding tube was installed at Michael's insistence and he prohibited the nurses from offering Terri food orally---just as he is doing now.
