US House of Rep. in an Extraordinary Sunday night Session [Schiavo] (Bush Signs Schiavo bill)
Posted on 03/20/2005 6:03:40 PM PST by FoxPro
This is an unprecedented session. The Congress is meeting to save one persons life (in real time).
The only reason the Democrats are agreeing to this is that they dont want to be known as the party that killed Terri.
This is American history happening before your eyes.

Terri Schiavo should be in heaven with God where she will be happy rather than be a vegetable on earth. We are all imperfect beings. After we have murdered all of those like Terri, which disabled would you choose to go to heaven next?

"I'm sure the left would be in favor of letting her live. But alas, they're all out of ribbon colors, and have no way to express support of her on their lapels."
Ohhh Brilliant. Just Brilliant.

Since it is so humane, I suggest every state adopt death by withholding food and water as the punishment in capitol cases.
It will save money too.

I just don't get it... Why the HELL do we have Congress and Senators if they are not to decide issues like life or death....
Dems want Terri dead. Republicans want to keep her with her parents who want to care for her. Why do they not get this simple issue. The Dems are the ones who want to kill her..... her husband wants her dead... but her parents who have always loved her want to care for her....
I just don't understand how someone could vote for a rep that is for killing a human who is alive........ we are a insane society if this is to go through...

There may be medical folks who have already killed a bunch of people with starvation/dehydration, and are worrying about their legal liability.

Here are some excerpts the bill passed by the Senate the beill under consideration by the House of Representatives is the same: "The United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida shall have jurisdiction to hear, determine, and render judgment on a suit or claim by or on behalf of Theresa Marie Schiavo for the alleged violation of any right of Theresa Marie Schiavo under the Constitution or laws of the United States relating to the withholding or withdrawal of food, fluids, or medical treatment necessary to sustain her life." ..... "Any parent of Theresa Marie Schiavo shall have standing to bring a suit under this act. The suit may be brought against any other person who was a party to State court proceedings relating to the withholding or withdrawal of food, fluids, or medical treatment necessary to sustain the life of Theresa Marie Schiavo, or who may act pursuant to a state court order authorizing or directing the withholding or withdrawal of food, fluids, or medical treatment necessary to sustain her life. "In such a suit, the District Court shall determine ... any claim of a violation of any right of Theresa Marie Schiavo within the scope of this act, notwithstanding any prior state court determination and regardless of whether such a claim has previously been raised, considered, or decided in state court proceedings. The District Court shall entertain and determine the suit without any delay or abstention in favor of state court proceedings, and regardless of whether remedies available in the state courts have been exhausted." ..... "After a determination of the merits of a suit brought under this act, the District Court shall issue such declaratory and injunctive relief as may be necessary to protect the rights of Theresa Marie Schiavo under the Constitution and laws of the United States relating to the withholding or withdrawal of food, fluids, or medical treatment necessary to sustain her life."
...hope this helps.

I don't see this as a federal matter...I send a low $100 to the RNC every other year or so...I'm gonna pass this year. Private family matters are non of their business.

He is weeping over the Democrats who profess to be Christians as He erases their names out of the Book of Life. He rejoices as sees people of courage stand up for the rights of the helpless.

There is always the possibility that the fight for the life of Terri embodies something much more than we comprehend with our ~physical~ senses.
Ponder that possibility and then consider the "side" the Dems almost always choose.

And us as a country. I know the tirents of the world are probably laughing their a$$ off right now. What respect will be have after this if we don't save her.

Can ANYONE explain to me this desperate need of the Hysteric Left to kill this woman?/i> Sure, their Lord and Master Satan is demanding a fresh sacrifice, and they are scurrying to facilitate his demand so they can keep their Faustian deals intact.
To: FoxPro
I read on Drudge that we need a 2/3 vote of those present to pass the bill because rules have been susepended. If that's so, (1) how many House members are present and (2) how many of the Republicans are there?

THIS IS SICK, PERVERSE AND TYPICAL OF POLITICIANS WHO ARE INTERESTED IN GRANDSTANDING ON THE BACK OF ONE POOR WOMAN -- WHILE IGNORING THE NEEDS OF AN ENTIRE NATION. PUKES!!!
You certainly have a warped sense of perspective.
