US House of Rep. in an Extraordinary Sunday night Session [Schiavo] (Bush Signs Schiavo bill)
Posted on 03/20/2005 6:03:40 PM PST by FoxPro
This is an unprecedented session. The Congress is meeting to save one persons life (in real time).
The only reason the Democrats are agreeing to this is that they dont want to be known as the party that killed Terri.
This is American history happening before your eyes.

For some reason the House Democrats are more extreme than those in the Senate! Do we really need to debate the right to life? We're witnessing the moral bankruptcy of the minority party in our lifetime. This isn't a political matter. I've never looked at civil rights that way and have strongly believe minority rights deserve strong federal protection. Except of course to the Democrats, when its people they CONSIDER unpopular.

These scum have provided the Republicans with audio for many, many Congressional races in 2006 and 2008.
Barney Frank has treated hamsters better than what he propose be done to Terri.

Good people in the Republican party were once Democrats. What we see now are the remnants of why they fled. Me and mine are in that group. This month is our first anniversary being Republicans.

Exactly. I want Dems to have to give that answer, or at least see it in their minds, but I know that will never happen.

I am so thankful that the Republicans are in conrol. Democrats only stand for taking God out of every public forum, death (abortion, euthanasia) sexual perversity, taking our rights (1st, 2nd amendments and private property rights) and deconsruction of education. That about covers it. Evil is using them IMHO.

OMG How do these people get elected! It called gerrymandering , which I learned in school was unconstitutional. Boy was I dumb.

Oh YES! Excellent point! I have to blog about that tomorrow! I made the point that it's illegal to starve a dog or cattle or to mistreat lab animals. Missed the correlation between the abusive parents and Terri!

>In this situation, I know that all honest Christians, regardless of the tenets of their belief, can see the face of the suffering Christ in Terri Schiavo. "I was thirsty and you gave me a drink" "I was hungry and you gave me food" - that popped into my mind a lot since I became aware of this case.<
I think you are right. In addition, if asked, almost all people will admit, "I would not want to live like Terri"; but if put in that place, would accept the condition, realizing that we are not promised a life without suffering, but we are promised that God will be with us always.
