Wolfson's report is based on court files, depositions, medical records and interviews with everyone involved.
That said, I begin with the most explosive allegation:
Did Michael try to kill Terri?
Wolfson laughs. "No!"
-----
Wolfson's report states that in the four years after her collapse, Michael "had insistently held to the premise that Theresa could recover and the evidence is incontrovertible that he gave his heart and soul to her treatment and care . . . In late autumn of 1990, following months of therapy and testing and formal diagnoses of persistent vegetative state with no evidence of improvement, Michael took Theresa to California, where she received an experimental thalamic stimulator implant in her brain. Michael remained in California caring for Theresa during a period of several months."
Says Wolfson now: "Michael was adoring of her. One nursing home complained he was hostile and abusive of the staff in championing her care. She was immaculately kept. In 13 years, she never had one bedsore."

Just upgraded my web site.
You may participate in an on-line poll on my site. The poll has just been put up. It records your vote so that you cannot vote more than once.

Lastly, "Let death be not Proud."
You always were the voice of reason...
Stay well. :)
You mean like the fellow who wrote this book?
Tell me, which "group" is the President Bush in? Justice Scalia? Phyllis Schlafly? Jean Kirkpatrick? G. Gordon Liddy? William F. Buckley?
Adn what will happen is that the GOP will decide to not rely on them for anything - they only go there when interest coincide, and under no other circumstance.
I couldn't care less if the jerk is a "nice guy". No one, including you, knows what "his wife's wishes" are except him and Terri and unfortunately she isn't able to tell anyone.
It is sickening to understand that her parents would force Terri to go through all that, even if she had told them not to...I do not understand that thinking.
I pray MY loved ones will love me enough to let me go.

I fear you're right on most counts. I see this one as one big powderkeg that's just set to blow and take a lot of people with it. Politically, it's going to be ugly.
I've watched my stepfather do it for his daughter and my husband for his aunt. I'm so sorry you had to go through that for your mother, but I've promised my mother certain things too and that is what we do when we love someone.
My my, how Clintonesque!
"Please pass the word."
Hey Caesar, are we suppose to give a thumbs up or down and what are you trying to accomplish.
Life and death isn't a popularity poll or hadn't you stop to think about it?
Indeed!
Yeah, if one member were trying to finish the job of killing another.
What I don't like to see are continuous mis-representations by various freepers and have tried, along with a host of other freepers, to make sure that we aren't like DU in spreading lies.
AMEN
Schiavo Videotapes Offer Powerful But Misleading Evidence
The videos run only a few seconds. -------- Seen without context, the snippets raise questions for laypeople. Is Terri Schiavo aware? Can she hear? Does she understand? Less widely known are four hours of images, taped in summer 2002, of Schiavo's inert stare from her hospice bed.
The negative political fallout for the GOP is going to be huge. I know that it's the norm for the party in the WH to lose congressional seats in an off-year but I'm afraid that the GOP is going to lose a LOT of seats in '06.
Fools rush in... :(
Very poignant. Thanks
I do not see huge fallout in this case one way or the other.
I mean, Judge Greer looks like the kind of activist judge the GOP has complained about. The Dems cannot defend this guy too hard, or else it is going to hurt them in a Supreme Court fight.
The GOP had little to lose by forcing the issue. It has opened fault lines, though, and they will need to be dealt with by 2008. Maybe there is a realignment coming.
I have stayed off these Terri threads for almost all the time, but this is so upsetting to me when 'our Republicans' in D.C. make absolute fools of themselves in such a blatant political way, I wonder what is to become of us...
