Terri's husband isn't the enemy, guardian says
Orlando Sentinel ^ | February 25, 2005 | Mike Thomas

Wolfson's report is based on court files, depositions, medical records and interviews with everyone involved.

That said, I begin with the most explosive allegation:

Did Michael try to kill Terri?

Wolfson laughs. "No!"

-----

Wolfson's report states that in the four years after her collapse, Michael "had insistently held to the premise that Theresa could recover and the evidence is incontrovertible that he gave his heart and soul to her treatment and care . . . In late autumn of 1990, following months of therapy and testing and formal diagnoses of persistent vegetative state with no evidence of improvement, Michael took Theresa to California, where she received an experimental thalamic stimulator implant in her brain. Michael remained in California caring for Theresa during a period of several months."

Says Wolfson now: "Michael was adoring of her. One nursing home complained he was hostile and abusive of the staff in championing her care. She was immaculately kept. In 13 years, she never had one bedsore."

Those trying to kill her are Nazis.

I don't think that is true.

I think many are convinced she is braindead (to use the slang) and cannot improve any.

Funny, the doctors that evaluated Terri after her incident stated she had been improving. Of course, she was allowed to have rehabilitation given to her back then. Wonder what is possible if her Rehabilitation had not been refused by Michael?

If Terri is totally 'not there', and she would die peacefully and quickly once the so-called 'artificial support' was removed, then I could see their point.

The fact that she will feel pain, does feel pain, tells me this is wrong. We should do all we can to keep anyone alive, and let God decide when it is time. Those who decide to 'let go' and are on life support, or refuse whatever drug or treatment would keep them alive, have that right, and have only to answer to GOD.

The one person I would consider using the term 'NAZI' to describe is the person that publicly ascribes to EUTHANASIA, and that is FELOS. He cares nothing about Terri, he wanted the money, and the opportunity to promote his cause.

The Nazis had a program for mercy killings. Don't stop with Terri. Take it all way. Give husbands back the right to kill their wives when they want to. Don't stop with Terri. Be all you can be.

$10 million dollars is a lot to walk away from.

Wouldn't accepting that have put Michael in some sort of legal jeopardy? Remember this is not (supposed to be) about Michael's rights and wishes but Terri's.

Michael is saying that Terri should die because it is her wish and he as her guardian is trying to fulfill her wish.

If he accepts that money basically he is saying "Thanks, uh, I guess I was wrong. She wants to live after all."

Not real sure of the law there but I can't see how that would not get him in anything but trouble (and likely without getting the money).

It is interesting, but does not address the de novo issue. Clear and convincing however is wrong, because that is not yet Florida law. It may become such, if the Florida legislature acts. And the federal court will be applying Florida law, unless a federal law applies, which it doesn't, unless SCOTUS comes up with one, which it clearly will not. Thus while de novo is interesting, it in the end is unlikely to change the result, absent new law. JMO.

Felos and Greer are also her enemies, and they should be held to account, impeached and removed from their positions, and shamed for the rest of their lives for the murder they tried to commit.

That's not what I said.

What you said was:

Now that Congress is involved, this will open up the possibility of convicted felons on death row asking to plead their case to Congress because the courts simply refused to listen to their plea.

And I just asked if you think there is a court out there that might let some murderer be dehydrated to death?

Only after I corrected you.

How could you correct me If there was no mistake in what I stated? You have seen the post I made. Where is it wrong?

Au contraire...he has refused antibiotics for her at least once. He will not allow her to be taken outside and will not allow shades to be open so she can see out. He will not allow any therapy whatsoever. Her throat muscles could have been strengthend by now. It just goes on and on.

He does not want her to talk....

Sorry, I had two issues going and mixed up posters.

SmartAleck is the one that posted to me about the LAST RITES, and so my references to that issue apply to him.

You were posting about the issue of the Schindlers being about the money, and accused me of saying it, when I didn't.

The poster who did acknowledged so.

Just where in the heck did you come up with this twisted interpretation of my post?

It is the generic you, not the personal you. Anyone who supports her murder (not that I think you support it, you indicated in your post that you did not), should apply it to the general population, just like the Nazis did.

I understand. I have used another poster's comments as a springboard to further quantify an issue, and had them think I was directing the oratory at them, instead of on behalf of them.

Thank you for responding quickly and clearing that up.
I keep getting interrupted and have been dealing with many attacks lately, getting some posts of two different posters mixed up, and I am tired. Just a bit edgy, I guess.

So now you've read all 10,000 posts about Terri? I don't think so.

I've seen it said as fact that Terri hasn't had CAT scans. Lie.

I've seen it said as fact that Terri never saw neurologists. Lie.

Terri can't have an MRI. She's electrodes in her head which render that an impossibility.

Regarding the bulimia, lots of people have eating disorders and their families don't know. It's a shameful thing they try to hide. And she certainly did have bulimia as has been proven in several courts of law and upon which the lawsuit was settled. Unless all those lawyers, judges and doctors are wrong and you, who have only read about the case, are right.

And yes, Joan was Terri's sil and best friend and testified in court. So now the entire family is lying. In your eyes. Okay.

So far I don't see any lies in my post. But carry on.

"You've had a long day,"(from BigSkyFreeper)

We all have. And a long weekend. And it ain't over yet.

Maybe it would help if every poster on all the Terri threads took a second to take a breath, and realize that everyone is stressed, tired, and has concerns one way or the other and has the right to discuss and debate those issues.

Although we all have strong convictions, and tempers have flared, it is not because any of us are "BAD", or "EVIL". It is because we are all human.

Terri's case has brought forth a SUITCASE full of issues, which bred 'factions' during our discussions.

We have:
The Judicial Court Issue
The Euthanasia Issue
The State Law Issue
The Federal Law Issue
The Hospice Staff Issue
The Roman Catholic Church Issue
The women's hygiene Issue
The Money Issue
The Medicare Scam Issue
The Right to Life Issue
The Right to Die Issue
The Right to decide for others issue
The Right to have no decision issue
The Right to be tortured Issue
The PVS/Coma/Braindead Issue
The hearsay/heresay/whosay/Isay Issue
The gastronomy tube/Life Support Issue
The Heart Attack/Cardiac Arrest Issue
The Diet/Bulimia Issue
Terri Schiavo-Schindler
Judge Greer
Michael Schiavo
George Felos
George Bush
Jeb Bush
Dr. Gambone/Hammersfahr/Wolfson/etc.
The Schiavo Family
The Schindlers
Rush Limbaugh (how'd he get in here?)
The Florida Attorney General
The Pope
Moose
Cheese

(Help, someone stop him.)

The biggest problem we have is we all think we are talking about the same thing, and yet poster A seems to be discussing ISSUE X , with poster B who is discussing ISSUE Y.

It's remarkable that posters heads don't explode after a while.
