The case of Terri Schiavo raises complex issues. Yet in instances like this one, where there are serious questions and substantial doubts, our society, our laws, and our courts should have a presumption in favor of life. Those who live at the mercy of others deserve our special care and concern. It should be our goal as a nation to build a culture of life, where all Americans are valued, welcomed, and protected - and that culture of life must extend to individuals with disabilities.
So if some state decided that they could legally kill all cancer patients, the federal government should not get involved? While I agree that there should be a smaller Federal Government, it still has a place, especially in protecting innocent life.
Come out wherever you be, Jeb. Pardon her. The nurses felt her condition was improving week by week. Don't kill her. Ignore the judge. Pardon her. Intervene. STEP UP! Can you do that, Jeb? Please.
It doesn't matter; it's the PRINCIPLE; we were against that raid and now you're calling for one that YOU agree with.

Terri's husband and Judge Greer also appear to be high on the list for a late-term abortion. They want to kill this woman for a yet unknown purpose.

Are you telling me that you think it's an outrageous breach of federalist sentiment to believe that the same rights accorded to serial killers by the 5th Amendment should also be accorded to a completely innocent disabled woman that the state has deemed should be put to death - multiple times?

apparently THAT was a justifiable use of police power, but saving a human life is not.

GW was in Florida hawking Sos Sec Reform while Terry's life was up for grabs...great PR there...and just a tad off the priority scale...
The sad thing is the Elected Republicans don't know how this has hurt them...they live in a bubble.
What if she showed signs of improvement?
Yes, I was in favor of him being reunited with his father, but I sure don't remember advocating FORCE -- especially force like we got -- to do it.
Why?
Once you go down that road, you have to spend the rest of your life justifying it. I notice this particularly with pro-abort fanatics close to me. Once they've committed it, they have to remind themselves every few minutes that they've done the right thing. Suggest that they might not have, and rec' some rage in return. They become abortion evangelists--even to the point that they denounce women with children as "breeders" and push those close to them to forego having children! I kid you not. Death is a full-time investment.
Once Michael Schiavo convinced himself of the his need for Terri to die, he can't very well turn from that path without some epiphany. Likewise the incredible Greer the Ghoul--who could have gotten off the hook a long time ago.
And see how vilified are the parents--who want just to take their daughter home and care for her, and maybe give her a chance for some improvement in the quality of her life. Stranger things have happened.
And the death-culture outside, screaming for her death.
A very distressing day.
That might include sending in the Army to put down a local insurrection, e.g. a judge who went ahead and killed a witness wanted for Congressional hearings.
FGS, ask THEM. I'm just repeating what's been talked about all day long on TV.
