The case of Terri Schiavo raises complex issues. Yet in instances like this one, where there are serious questions and substantial doubts, our society, our laws, and our courts should have a presumption in favor of life. Those who live at the mercy of others deserve our special care and concern. It should be our goal as a nation to build a culture of life, where all Americans are valued, welcomed, and protected - and that culture of life must extend to individuals with disabilities.
I'd have to agree that my humor is over the top. It makes a good point that way. Sorry if you didn't like it. Did you get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?
The LP cut and paste comment is foolishness and it's not LP as a whole. It's one particular forum and only a handful of mentally derranged people.

This is just part of the process I am speaking of. Even if Terri had her own lawyer and the outcome was the same, would you starve her to death? Even convicted murders aren't starved to death. So, is this due process?
First put aside personal feelings against Todd or whoever.. ok.. now that, that is done..
All of you, as posters of FR, stand as a representation of FR... everything you write, reflects back on FR... if you make a great post.. FR looks good... go off the deep end, and post a replication that is just plain silly and improper.. FR looks bad..
And as there are ppl out there, for their own personal reasons, (real or not) have it against FR.. they are going to run with those silly and improper post, that you make... which they can not do, if you don't make them...
So in closing, Todd could be as looning as a bird, silly as a goose, goofy as a bedbug, dumber then a doornail and so on, but it is your posts at times, that are giving him and others, all they need to attack FR...
p.s. it's not just FR, that this happens too.. it's all conservative sites... (and to be honest.. it happens on the Dems side too..)

I thought the one I saw looked like a "top-down" view showing 2 hemispheres. I do see some structure around the outside of the atrohpied area, but I don't know what part of the brain that represents in terms of function.

Our values haven't changed, Howlin, but the circumstances are different. Reno-Clinton and company rescued Elian from a good life to return him to a hell hole. While this would be resuing Terri from a death sentence, pronounced upon her and mercilessly being executed by people much more deserving of such than she.
Murdering Terri may fall into the realm of sport in your world, but not in the real world. Not until now anyway.

I beg to differ. FR is just a website. It's not our mommy or daddy. We are individuals. "Good Post" in your definitinion might not be mine or someone elses.
Personally, I've pretty much refraind from comments in this Shiavo story until last night. I quite disgusted at the media circus it's become and quite disqusted with seeing Freepers threatening to turn it into a political issue. *That* is repulsive and in my opinion, *insane*.
