Well, hello, stupid!
You've been here six years and you STILL think I'm a guy?
As for your posts, you sound about 12.
Thanks for your response. Now I understand where you're coming from.
ROTHFLMAO
I guess it depends upon what your values are. In Elian's case his relatives were waiting for due-process to decide if he could stay with them in America. But the President decided he didn't deserve the liberty his mom died to give him. He found a legal way to remedy that and take his liberty away.
In Terri's case due-process has made its decision and says she must die. This President should use the same legal tactics that the Commander in Briefs used and save Terri's life.
Conservatives wanted liberty for Elian so they opposed Clinton's intervention. Conservatives (most Conservatives) want life for Terri so they will support Bush's armed intervention. Same values; inalienable right to life and liberty. Constitutional values.
As usual nice words. Nothing else!
a extraction team might be the only hope terri has,
this is madness....she gets to die slowly and that a-hole michial is probably gettin off on it..thank god i dont live in florida i would jumped this guy first chance i got
Do you have a CLUE what they are talking about?
So, where do you get "6" years?
Must be you've forgotten when they made everybody REREGISTER. I've been here 9 years!
Trying real hard to recall any issue where you and I were in agreement and nothing is coming up.
Anybody else see Peter Jennings's Freudian slip on this case just now? He meant to say "intervene," but actually said "interfere" then corrected himself when he was talking about how the Congress was getting involved.
~giggle~
It's been plumb ugly today, hasn't it?
Exactly. When you cut through all the peripherals, the first role of government is to protect the governed. To protect among other things his property, his liberty, and his inalienable rights, first and foremost of which is his right to life. Without life the rest of our rights are meaningless. In Terri Shiavo's case the judicial branch of her state's government has abandoned it's duty to protect her life, and has become the leader of those who fervently want her killed for some as yet unknown reason.
God help any poor soul who becomes severely ill or injured while visiting that God forsaken state. The judicial branch of it's government seems to be determined that you will be murdered in your sickbed if you are too sick or injured to cry out for help loudly enough to be heard by TV crews on the street outside your hospital room. What is the voice sound level which qualifies as a plea for life? In Terri's case her cry of "I wannaaaa....." obviously didn't reach the threshold needed to qualify as her plea to live.
IMO this is just one part of the horrible legacy of America's death cultism, which began this reign of terror by legalizing the premeditated murder of unborn children. And it won't stop here unless we stop it. Watch your backs grandpas and grandmas. The death cultists consider you to be nothing more than useless burdens who are hampering their lifestyles, and they are coming for you next.
As near I as can figure out it was okay for Bill Clinton and Janet Reno to send arm troops to take Elian back to Cuba.
Many millions of Americans believe that Terri's rights have not been protected. This is a huge case with world wide attention and hundreds of millions of Americans watching every move made by our government- with huge implications for our society whichever way it goes.
The President of the united States would be remiss if he did not comment upon it.
Well, you just cannot believe what a relief that is to me.
Must be. It today's twisted world at FR.
crap
Food for thought. Assuming the FEDS should NOT interfere with this case and allowing that a state "JUDGE" to decide who lives and who die.......then how about "CRUEL and UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT"? Have you any idea how horrifically cruel 14-21 days of diminishing life is due to dehydration?
