The case of Terri Schiavo raises complex issues. Yet in instances like this one, where there are serious questions and substantial doubts, our society, our laws, and our courts should have a presumption in favor of life. Those who live at the mercy of others deserve our special care and concern. It should be our goal as a nation to build a culture of life, where all Americans are valued, welcomed, and protected - and that culture of life must extend to individuals with disabilities.
Aren't you the same traviskicks that hangs out on the Confederate threads bashing Southerners who argue "State's Rights"? What a HYPOCRITE.

LOL! Hey, glad you remember me. Read my post 77 on this thread and then compare it to that thread where you all freeped me to death: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1295097/posts?page=88#88
I believe my opinions are completely consistent.
I don't know the facts of the case but I wish two things. One is for the family to reconcile and two for all of us to promise to complete living wills so that this kind of dispute need not be settled by anyone but the most involved.
Sending in the troops is not my idea of a fond farewell.
No, you don't get it; EVERYBODY is lying that doesn't agree with Terri's family. Just read these threads.
And if Congress gets knocked down in the federal courts, they'll be liars, too.
Have to say, I did appreciate what happened to the 2000 election due to Clinton's abuse of the little boy. We'd have had Gore for pres without Elian.
I was just thinking of this as I saw your post, and you've hit the nail right on the head. If she were being fed premasticated food with a spoon, instead of through a slightly different methodology, things would not have come to this pass--at least not now. But if her assailants are allowed to prevail, anyone in her condition who can't lift a spoon to his mouth will receive the same abuse as Terry is getting now.
Well, after today, I'm not; Florida and the United States Congress now think they can jump into the middle of decisions made in my family.
Ya, right.....like I don't remember that thread on the "Assault Weapon Ban" where you got all Sara Brady on us.
as i predicted... Laura Ingraham is also on this side. She and Levin are much more illustrious lawyers than i, and we are all in agreement here.
How about telling me what I have to do with a poster asking another one if they are a homosexual?
Is that what FR has come to?
Family values don't include things like sacrificing little brother to Baal in the basement.
I never said a word about confiscating anybody's weapons.
As I said, a damn liar.
Mamzelle, you're right in that hard cases can make for bad law, and I think the subpoena was inventive too.
xsmommy, it does seem that all the wrong people side with that cowardly ghoul of a husband of hers. This is a crossroads for the Country, IMO. Let's pray we don't take the same hell-bound path we took with Roe.
Are you making sense to anybody, becasue you're surely not to me.
Face it: you are spitting at all comers because the vast weight of FR is to not let Terri die this easy.
Well the way you put it, you are claiming rights to include even that.
What does that mean?
The purpose for my reference to jack-booted thugs was to OUT people like Howlin on this thread, which I designed into it. Everyone else knows what I meant.
I catch Mark Levin wherever I can. We already know what is at stake here with judges becoming extra-legislative authorities on our culture and society.
I will read his book after "The End of History and the Last Man" by Fukuyama. I finally drilled down to it!
So you think it's fine to ask other posters what their sexual orientation is, is that right?
