A spokesperson for Michael Schiavo says Terri Schiavo's feeding tube was removed Friday with Michael in attendance.
He says a prayer service was held first, and that Michael was emotional and crying, saying he wanted to put the situation behind him.
Terri Schiavo's parents, the Schindlers, visited with Terri Friday morning, prior to the tube's removal.
Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Court Judge George Greer denied two U.S. House of Representative emergency motions Friday, which allowed the tube's removal.
The first motion was to intervene in the case for the House Committee on Government Reform and the second motion was to push the date back nine days so it could conduct what it calls a field investigation concerning the healthcare of Schiavo.
A neurologist appeared at Terri Schiavo's Pinellas Park hospice center Friday with a TV screen to show video of patients he treated that were in worse condition than Schiavo and got better.
Earlier, Terri's brother said he would be pleased to have her be permitted to go to Congress, as she has been warehoused for 5 years in the same situation. Her family (not the husband) really shows love to her.
So you think that God wants us to cling to this life for every last possible second no matter what? I sure don't get that from anywhere in the Bible. Paul was ready to go and the only thing that keep him the least bit interested in being here was his ministry to the saints. It is this attitude that has bought us the liberties that we have in this country. We decided we would not live if we could not be at liberty. There are certain physiological liberties that I, personally, would want too.
I think it presumptuous of you to state that you KNOW what Terri will or will not feel. No one knows that.
I am not taking my grief about Terri out on you. I am responding to your statements about Terri.
Whatever your position, we can agree that that lawyers was a major creep. Enough with the shouting for people to call Hillary and Boxer!
I think it's a Catholic thing.
My wife told me that Terri's heart attack was brought on by bulemia (probably spelled that wrong) and that she was in very poor health leading up to her heart attack.
Anybody else heard this??
If they don't kill her by drug overdose, in an effort to be "humane."
Have you heard if the family was with her, or will be allowed to be with her during this?
Only if DUmmies are trying to murder you for the crime of being inconvenient.
This lawyer of Michael Schiavo just thanked Senator Wyden for delaying the Senate long enough to have the tube removed.
Better to have lots of morphine on board, believe me.
Surely you can't favor the idea of empowering the government to decide when God has spoken.
Of course he wants to put it behind him - he wants to make sure that she never tells that he tried to kill her - it didn't work - because she woke up - and then because of the damage he had caused - she collapsed of a stroke.
I don't know what he did to her - he either tried to smother her or gave her some untracable substance (he's a registered nurse). But one of Terri's doctors - in the beginning - said he thought she might have been suffocated but woke up during the attempt.
No wonder he doesn't want her to learn to speak again.
yes, he took all her money, he threw her into dark place and ignored her and now he has tried to kill her three times.

Anybody else heard this??
This is what I found From the St. Petersburg Times:
By all accounts, Terri was a fine young woman. She had a good job, a good marriage and many friends. Most who knew Terri, however, were unaware that she was sick. Terri suffered from an eating disorder known as bulimia nervosa, commonly called bulimia. The disease causes its victims to overeat ("binge") and soon thereafter vomit ("purge"). The cycle of binging and purging is extremely dangerous. The human heart, to work properly, requires a balance of the body's electrolytes. Vomiting can upset the electrolyte balance and cause abnormal heart rhythms that can lead to heart attack. That is what happened to Terri. One night, Terri purged, which caused her potassium level to drop low enough to cause a heart attack. Before fire rescue arrived and took her to the hospital, Terri's brain had been deprived of oxygen for long enough to produce catastrophic brain damage.
All I said is I wouldn't want to....
