**Exclusive Fri Mar 18 2005 00:50:07 ET** The Chairman of the Health, Education, Labor, and Pension (HELP) Committee, Mike Enzi (R-Wyoming) has requested Terri Schiavo to testify before his congressional committee, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned. In so doing it triggers legal or statutory protections for the witness, among those protections is that nothing can be done to cause harm or death to this individual.
' Yes, some people are running on pure emotion, it seems. In another thread, because I advocated complying with Terri's wishes, I was called a "prick." '
I disagree with you respectfully, but no one should have called you that.
The problem with Terri's wishes is we only have the word of one man to base them on.
I'll stick to the very obvious here. This man is not getting along very well with her family. Knowing that, would you walk up to him and hand him your life savings? Would you trust him to be a security guard with a combination to the bank's vault? [Er, with no security cameras or any modern tech.] If so, you might trust him with your life. I personally would not, no matter how persuasive his words are that he loves her.
No, it was not "immediately". She had intensive therapy for about 3 years. She had a cardiac arrest due to extremely low potassium in her blood.
Oh, and I was just assuming you were a jacka$$ before. Thanks for proving it.
Nice.
beautiful eyes......lol
No, I'm not accusing you of that. Sorry about the confusion.
But Deejay, you just said some posts back that you got your information from...(drumroll please)
....A TELEVISION SHOW!
(*How's that for flaming html? Without FresnoDA, it's not the same, but...)
I'm just stating facts.
Oh, yeah......even women don't buy that one!
But I do have a great personality!
I actually saw a news reporter to close to tears when a little dog was running down the highway and almost got hit (the dog was okay in the end)...but she was all choked up. However, she could report humans being killed without the blink of an eye.
"Your efforts don't provide an out for the people in Tallahassee." (The Florida senate must still do something.)
Don't know the case, sorry.
It was fairly soon after he got his money that he started denying her treatment.
That Terri brought this on herself? Just like Robert Blake's wife deserved to be "offed" for being a wretch? You seem to have a firm grasp on who deserves to die and when, don't you?
Once you play God once, I guess it's hard to let go.
Precisely.
Michael Schiavo could have taken the honorable path - given guardianship to Terri's parents. Divorced Terri - handed over the funds for her treatment and married the new woman.
It would have been compassionate if he consulted with Terri's parents in his decisions.
Michael Schiavo wants Terri out of his life permanently, and that reminds me of another recent headliner.
Good, that is their perogative. I do not think it is a matter for the federal government, however.
I know. I think the problem is that most of us really don't know the definition of these terms, such as Persistent Vegitative State, and people think that unless you have tubes up your nose and you're in a coma with your eyes closed that you're brain is working. And that's just not true.
Try to get your facts right.
lol
"It does too apply."
She is in PVS, according to every doctor who does not wish to experiment on her, AND the ones who did do the experimental brain implant.
BTW, nice tag line. I'm sarcastic a lot, so I can understand your confusion if you've read other posts. Heheheh! I hope you can keep up the joy. It's a time to feel joy. Lebanon, Nichols surrendered, ANWR, the ACLU backed down for a change, Terri, and I'm sure there are other great things happening. FReegards....
