In so doing it triggers legal or statutory protections for the witness, among those protections is that nothing can be done to cause harm or death to this individual.
Medicine has come a very long way in 15 years. After he got the money from Terri's settlement in the early 90's, Michael has done jack s--- for her treatment or rehab. She swallows her own saliva and he and Greer will not permit nutrition or hydration by mouth.

Why doesn't Judge Greer allow an investigation of the abuse charges and he has made it clear there is to be no autopsy?
Meek, they wouldn't even do that to a double-murderer like Scott Peterson--or, for that matter, a quadruple murderer like the Atlanta killer.
That's right! The loving husband won't even permit her to go outside in her wheelchair. She can't even feel the sun on her face or the wind in her hair, and yet she still lives on!

Actually, after the dust settles from this fight, the value of human life is probably going up at this point. Even if we lose this fight, pro-death is losing this war. So are the courts. Winnning through a loophole will do nothing to prop up the courts.
Frankly, I don't think the pro-death crowd has a clue of what's going on. They think this was orchestrated for partizan reasons. The term, 'love', seems alien to them. How could we love a complete stranger? They don't get it.

Should all those who cannot feed themselves, ARE NOT IN A PVS or on artificial life support, be "allowed to die?"
Should my relative have been "allowed to die" before he could feed himself? Should Alzheimer's patients be "allowed to die" after they cease being able to feed themselves?
Pulling the feeding tube from Terri is murder. If this is done, our country has gone the way of leftist Europe, and we all need to fear for our lives should we become disabled (as many are in the Netherlands) if we permit the murder of this less than perfect, but fully alive human being.
Makes sense to me. It should make sense to a judge.

Sometimes I wonder if Michael is not only sadistic but also insane. Here he is wanting Terri to die, yet he had her parents kept for a while away from her bedside because he claimed, they would harm her. He is the one who would not even allow flowers for her or have last rites.
Actually he is from Gillette, WY.
Why did fox news just twice mistate her condition. Just minutes ago, the newsreader stated she was on a breathing machine. A minute later she just said Terri was on "life support".
It's about time the news did a little research and stop throwing around terms they obviously don't understand and handing out misinformation on the process.

And holding a pillow over a person's face would "let [that person] die" from suffocation.
BUT if they start starving her today, she won't have the strength to prove she is not a vegetable. Isn't the tube to be removed TODAY? When would she be testifying or is that still a request?
