I called the White House to find out when they are sending in Federal Marshalls....lady told me I have to call and 800 number (some federal thing she said):
800-688-9889 to ask about federal marshalls going to save Terri
Rep. Deyer:
"A wise and frugal govt will restrain men from injuring each other..."
Quoting Jefferson in 1801.
No kidding.
Tomorrow at 1 pm will be 48 hours of starvation/dehydration.
Rep. Dreyer, I think, not Deyer.
Greer could do anything to Terri by that time...to ensure she's dead.
This is Terri's miracle and this could be that since The Lord is in control .."HE" prefers Palm Sunday.
Yes, so true.
"800-688-9889 to ask about federal marshalls going to save Terri"
Thanks :)
Fed Info?
Learn about Federal government red tape?
Fed info? Are they going to tell you about Federal 911 number?
yes; I can't remember what she called it....but she said I have to ask that question of the Federal "something" and gave me the 800 number to call and ask the question about when are Federal Marshalls going in to save Terri.
Since she had the number handy, without surprise by my question, without waivering with her answer, I'm assuming she must be getting lots of calls.
I couldn't believe Savage last night!
What fury and fervor in his voice!!
The best quote from the program,
"It's time for President Bush to stop listening to Karl Rove, come down off his high perch, and crush Greer like a bug!!"
Priceless!!!
I'm sorry....every number that I have called...I'm getting a recording that says call beack or go to a web-site.
This is frustrating there is no option.
But think of the symbolism.
Instead of everyone going to Florida, have it a National Protest, everyone go to their State Capitol steps and protest. There would be 50 Protests in one day. Logistically people should be able to get to their own State Capital
I like that idea, but I'm thinking of something even sooner and more local. I think one of the reasons the protests in the 2000 election were so effective was that they were in communities across the nation. People who don't pay a lot of attention to the news were coming across crowds of angry citizens in their own communities and wondering what it was about. Also, it's a story for local media. Hundreds of stories in local papers give us a much better chance of fair coverage than a few AP stories from major events, IMHO.
One idea I have is showing up at local courthouses Monday morning with signs along the lines of "Starving the Disabled? Not in my name [or my country]" and bringing bread and water to line the courthouse steps. The local media usually have reporters assigned to the courts, so it would be a good place to get coverage quickly. I just don't like the idea of waiting until Monday morning.
Hubby just called the WH and got the "call back Monday" line.
Praise God! But let's continue to pray ... this isn't over until the Bill is passed and Terri is outside of Geer and Michael Schiavo's hands.
I think we owe a lot of thanks to Tom DeLay. I really wonder how much sleep that man got the last two nights or more. He's been working tirelessly at trying to resolve this impasse between the House and the Senate.
I just called that 800 number; it's "Fed Info."
The woman at the White House, therefore, obviously doesn't want to give out ANY information about anything. It's a general number concerning general questions about Federal information/questions.
OUTRAGEOUS!!!!
Tom DeLay for President, 2008!
